Re: Dog attacks on livestock

One attack? Good god didn’t know they were capable of that. Many dog owners conveniently forget that dogs are predators with predatory instincts. Most dogs only ever get to live out these instincts chasing a ball, but given the chance and the wrong circumstances they will all of them chase and (try...

Agree 100% with the above...with one minor niggle: No, we're encouraged to continue ... The "encouragement" is looking more and more like a stick than a carrot recently. Personal mobility no longer means the freedom to explore, it is just the means to get you from your house out in the sti...

Debt for climate - now there's an idea

Here's the pitch: Rich nations owe a massive climate debt to poorer nations: for the devastating impacts of the fossil fuels we have burned. Yet they have no intention of paying for the loss and damage they have caused. Poor countries are deemed to owe massive financial debts to the rich nations, ye...

So somebody decided it would be interesting to import a 20 year old Japanese hearse. Interesting it certainly is ...but what would you do with it? We have a seemingly pristine Hilux as a base ..but it's not the farming kind (petrol and 2 WD only) and the fact that its body has been cut just behind t...

disclaimer ..I'm no mechanic either, just a long term driver of all sorts of jaloppies that have produced all sorts of noises in their day  The fact that the noise is independent of speed helps at least to rule out one thing and that is strange harmonics. If they Chinese are going so hard on covid, what do the Chinese know about covid that we don’t? Final chapter (for now anyways) Extensive comparisons between the two guitars have led to two conclusions: - 43 mm nut width is too small for my ageing sausage fingers - while a parlor guitar sounds lovely, a "big" guitar is also needed so back to the internets for more research ...and I f...

I'd keep at the big guitar too.. might be a pain but it's good for strenghting your fingers. I'll have to wait for better weather (when herself is in the garden  ) The dreadnaught calls for a bit of gusto...which ain't appreciated by the audience in the next room watching d'telly ...
