A podcast than no-one will ever listen to is surely in the offing.

Suspect he was given the choice of jump or be pushed. How many of his own TDs are stepping down? Morale clearly an issue under his leadership. He knows full well he ran the risk of being humiliated at the next election. Only scraped in himself last time around as it was, and don't think his stock ha...

Re: Ryan Tubridy Show

He might actually succeed. The brits have an odd soft spot for a bit of inoffensive, Irish blarney on the radio. Terry Wogan proved that. Just so long as he remembers his new place in the pecking order and doffs his cap appropriately - which shouldn't be a problem for a natural lickspittle like him....

Re: The Beatles new song 'Now and Then'

Sentimental crap that even Lennon himself didn't deem good enough for his own album. Most likely written in an attempt to placate his bonkers missus. Harrison described it as "effing rubbish" when he first heard it back in the mid - 90's. Always liked George for his willingness to call a s...

A South Africa, New Zealand final would be some game. Wouldn't absolutely count England or even Argentina out, though. Games like tonight can take a heavy toll on a side.

Re: The 2023 Rugby World Cup

There's definitely a mental block in Irish rugby when it comes to knockout games. A lot of them looked edgy with uncharacteristic errors aplenty.

I suspect we'll only break the semi-final hoodoo when we're in an underdog situation against a side nobody expects us to beat.

Re: The 2023 Rugby World Cup

Been watching rugby since the 1991 World Cup and New Zealand are different sauce when it comes to these kinds of games.

Sexton bowing out on what has been a true golden age for Irish rugby. But still no semi-final to show for all of it, which is gutting.

Holmes' missus apparently approached the itv execs with her concerns about Schofield while working there only for herself and Eamonn to be given the fiddler's elbow. He's been making veiled comments - which were obviously directed against Schofield - ever since on social media. Can't just overtly ac...

She looked fierce fidgety throughout the whole thing. Not that I care, but I see nothing very regal about her at all. Probably more at home mucking out the stables. I think yesterday was another blow to the image of the crown. The two of them together just look so old and odd. Can't see them reinvig...

Re: Lineker leaving Match of the Day…

I think Match of the Day is doomed to go the way of Top of the Pops, it just isn't relevant to a younger generation who get their media via their phones. You can also get the goals of each EPL game within the hour of fulltime via Sky's youtube channel. Making motd even more redundant. This fiasco wi...

I suspect she was using the gender issue as a trojan horse with lowering the voting age to 16 being the long-term goal. Her assertion that she "trusted young people to make up their own mind"' got my spidey-sense tingling. She played with matches and got burned Labour might yet make a come...

The vaccine rollout was a combination of desperation and opportunism. Desperation on the part of governments who were facing the very real prospect of complete economic collapse thanks to lock down and opportunism on the part of pharmaceutical companies who saw a chance to make out like bandits.
