In my youth Beirut was on a par with Monaco and Nice.
Very trendy to have an apartment there ( dont you know ;) ) .

Well ... it's an ongoing discussion within the EU, so it could have happened without Brexit. The difference is that the EU generally acts and regulates on the basis of "show us the advantages and the proof that there are no signficant dangers" ; whereas the UK would appear to be drifting ...
