Re: Scumbag Luke ‘Ming’ Flanagan
He’s a stupid crank. Never has anything good to say about anything. Brain turned to mush from years of smoking weed. Absolutely useless politician. Dresses like a bum.

Re: Thin Skinned Politicians
Any abuse of politicians and their family is completely unacceptable. Social media threats, picketing outside their house, abusing them on the streets. We are lucky to have the access we do to our politicians and we can’t allow freaks, oddballs, weirdos and violent thugs to change that. It’s domesti...

Re: Thin Skinned Politicians
The overwhelming majority of people are against this vile abuse. The way to express displeasure with politicians is via the ballot box, not by threatening to murder their family. That’s an attempt to undermine democracy and the institutions of the State, and should result in long prison sentences. I...

Re: Thin Skinned Politicians
Sending out the clarion call of desperation isn't going to absolve you from scrutiny, dishonest bleating about "personal abuse" is cowardly in the extreme. Do you still live at home with your mother? I’m sure she wouldn’t like to hear about her son defending people threatening to rape chi...

Re: Thin Skinned Politicians
Threatening to rape and murder the children of a politician isn’t on. That isn’t being thin skinned. The people who make these threats are fascists and should be in prison.
Also, why in the name of Jesus would a hate speech law be put to the people? It’s not a constitutional matter. Read a book.

Re: Politics.ie has also gone offline
No great loss tbh. It was interesting to visit about 15 years ago, but the last time I went for a look it was about 20 angry malcontents arguing with each other. Total waste of time. The impact of the internet on some middle-aged men would want to be studied.

Re: Gender Theory Thread
You’d imagine some of the hysterical and permanently outraged and online middle-aged bores who keep ranting about woke, transsexuals and immigrants could do with free medication themselves. Testosterone to stop them being such a moaning bitch and antidepressants so they might leave the house and liv...

Jesus, some of the opinions here are so utterly bleak and awful. Such misandry. What happened to some of you? Radicalised in internet cesspits.

Re: Mary Lou for President
Dr. Tony Holohan is considering a run. The voice and conscience of Ireland during one of the most difficult periods in our history. A man of enormous empathy and compassion. If he does get enough nominations then I’ll struggle to decide between him and McGuinness. Two exceptional candidatesz

Re: Mary Lou for President
The idea that Semtex Ferris would get his own party nomination, never mind the support of the electorate is one of the stupidest political predictions I’ve ever seen.

Re: Elon Musk buys 100% of Twitter
Have been following developments, Gardaí clearly trying to stifle egregious abuses of power in relation to Newtownmountkennedy. At the behest of the Irish government, such censorship is Orwellian. Free speech is sacrosanct, those advocating for suppression cannot hide behind the laboured "priv...
