Re: General DIY bargains, deals etc

I would have thought gutter mesh, black plastic 6 inch roll, cable tied to gutter would work best. Brushes in the gutter will clog up and impede water through it.

I find birds go for the corners of the roof where there are gaps in the ridge tiles, seal that with expanding foam and job done

Re: Ryanair treatment of passengers

To be fair, I'd say they see at least one every flight who cannot open their phone, loose battery charge as they rock up to the gate, all to avoid printing off the bloody boarding page.

Re: Winter

I use base layers and add as the weather gets colder, heated grips and attach all inner layers to bike gear. Having put up 110k km on an er6f Kawasaki that took me around Spain this year here are my few cents worth on winter riding: - Ride main roads especially if the temps are between 0 and 4C, bac...

And for anyone who's interested here's where I'm leaving the bike in Spain. Can't wait! https://www.imtbike.com/motorcycle-rentals/motorcycle-storage/ Thanks for that link, back from 3 weeks in Spain and bike storage was a big worry in the event of breakdown . Will come in useful for next years trip😀

Re: This is what I did to my bike today

Fitted the Garmin to my bike via a special bracket and a modded Garmin friction pad mount.

My dry run with a Givi phone mount had too much vibration and I felt sure the Garmin was going to pop out any second

@WestWicklow 1, will do. Yeah, going with BF. All 4 sailings were fully booked when I booked my trip in January , I got literally the last spot.
They only allow 20 bikes per ferry. They have 3 price options but mine has no refund

Am booked on the ferry to Bibao in September. Plan A was tour the east coast to south of Spain but Plan B may be kicking in, that is go due south to Nerja and do the campsites. Just not sur about the passenger locator forms as I want to travel but have no where booked yet

Re: This is what I did to my bike today

Good stuff, working on a side stand extension for my bike to avoid the bike toppling over on campsite ground for Spain. Such a tricky bike is the ER6f, the side when up runs too close to the chain! Have a makeshift rubber attachment fitted but so difficult to attach a thick pad or mount. Nearly ther...

Is there any significance in the (non-alphabetical) order?
Nope, just the most popular Irish shops are at the top.

Nice to have an alternative to Boards and Biker.ie.

Don't think my ER6F will cut it against the Ducati :)
