Re: Post what's on your mind
Best of luck ladies and gentlemen. Unfortunately I'll have to love you all and leave you. I've put in a couple of rough posts lately which is not who I am, but I've went and posted them and its not right on the recipients of these posts as they are good posters. I've had a tendency recently to lash ...

Re: General Current Affairs Chat - Global and Local
It's so sad what is going on in Turkey. They are still getting people out even now, which is miraculous. But the death toll is nearly 10,000 and I have seen suggestions it could rise more than 100,000+ with the numbers missing. How could some of these buildings withstand and some beside them that l...

Re: Using a Telly as Dedicated Computer Monitor
Haven't try using a TV in a long time as a monitor but found it strained my eyes after a few minutes, maybe they are more like computer lcd screens now ? One thing I have is a good sound card for the computer. I got one of the chromecast things and use tge telly now if I'm watching or listening to m...

Re: Anyone still glued to this?
Post to end the night for me. Well worth a listen, Colonel MacGregor's latest interview on Ukraine. A previous poster tried to put a slur on this man that he is somehow a Russian propagandist, this is nonsense and nothing could be further from the truth, a real American and respected military figure...

Re: Anyone still glued to this?
I can't enumerate them off hand but over the past year I have seen various reports of attempted negotiations including from Russia. I remember the pre war requests for NATO not to expand so close to Russia. (This would be similar to America not wanting a Russian presence in say Mexico.) Even a few ...

Re: Anyone still glued to this?
Russia can't win. They won't be able to take the entire country. If they do hold onto a piece, there will be guerilla attacks for years. Economic sanctions will remain and the economy will suffer massively. The Russian Oligarchy want to spend their millions in Paris, New York, Dubai, etc like they ...

Re: Anyone still glued to this?
But there are two of you in this discussion! One believes every bit of NATO propaganda and the other every bit of pro-Russian propaganda. As for me, I really don't know but I err on the side of caution in writing off the Russians and I do believe the West rather than Putin created the rig...

Re: Anyone still glued to this?
And for such a raggle taggle bunch of incompetents the Russian army are, in your view, where are the thousands of Tanks, hundreds of AD systems, Artillery systems, aircraft that the Ukrainian army once had ? They are gone. The west cannot even supply enough replacement military equipment currently t...

And yet in not such a desperate state as the Russians. The credibility of that article is undermined by this one paragraph: The Russians have had the T-90 on the battlefield since Feb 24, 2022, and the Ukrainians have been destroying them with Javelins, NLAWs and other such weapons since they were ...

Re: Post what's on your mind
No matter what size shed I get built they always seem to never be enough. I got a 10 x 12 foot potting shed put up a few years ago so I can have a convenient store next to my polytunnel. I now can't get into the back of it and have to remove everything to get at the pots I want in the back of it. Ho...

Re: AI is coming to get you....
Although I'm interested in new some of the new technology advancements I find some if this AI stuff disturbing and bizarre. Artificially created music, art, poetry I cannot take seriously as it is not from a human brain and to me has no meaning and is devoid of reason. To me it will diminish further...
