Re: Israel and Palestine
This includes a small video sampling of what is an ongoing murder spree by the Zionist Israeli state in the occupied territories of Gaza and West Bank. These videos are by their nature very graphic and disturbing. I have refrained from posting any to date, but after approximately two months of murd...

Re: Bakehurst Orders Immediate Recruitment Freeze in RTE
Right this is really annoying me. This narrative that if people don't pay their TV licence the tax payer will have to bail out RTE. Tax payers are the bloody TV licence buyers. They have chosen not to pay directly. If politicians decide to use exchequer funds to bail out RTE anyway, they really can'...

Re: The 2023 Rugby World Cup
Best game of the weekend tonight - Wales vs Fiji - with the latter playing the game as it was always meant to be played. Wales, aided by some very dubious reffing decisions, scraped home 32 - 26. The only consolation is that Wales are no-hopers and won't get anywhere in the competition. The ref abs...

Avoiding cynicism over speed limits is what they should be avoiding at all costs. A blanket drop will do that. Risky behaviour will increase as people ignore the signs while others don't. Irish solution to an Irish problem....

Re: Dublin gets more like Gotham with every passing day..
I regularly travel to Dublin for work. Maybe I'm wrong but I get a sense people that live there are just immune to the sights and sounds of how bad it is. You hear all cities are like these but they're not. Certainty not in the prime shopping areas, or the main street of a city. It really is a kip a...

I assume I am not the only one who is fairly certain that secret payments weren't only made to one person? Various golden circle members out confirming their earnings are as published but I'm not buying that. Lots of this story is strange but that they only undertook this creative payments process f...

I'm sceptical as I was the first occasion. I hope to Christ they get the guy but the details there (assuming of course the media have it correct) are a bit weird as regards how he was identified by gardaiThe Continental Op wrote: ↑Sat Jan 15, 2022 9:36 am New person of interest in Ashling Murphy inquiry in hospital with injuries

Re: General Current Affairs Chat - Global and Local
Just saw now that the chief suspect in the murder of that poor woman in Offaly has been released and is no longer a suspect. What the hell is going on there, we have a psycho on the loose if this the case. It appears the gardai had their mind made up very quickly. Where have we seen that before?! A...

I started back watching some episodes of meat eater. American guy that hunts and cooks what he kills. Mostly big animals like deer. He certainly knows how to cook. As someone who fishes and shoots I enjoy it.

My wife is from South Kerry and thinks the Barrister is absolutely correct, there is zero appetite to have the matter reopened. It has nothing to do with powerful interests or any conspiracy, merely what public interest is there in hauling a woman into the public spotlight so we can salivate over s...

Terrible story yet again. There was also a news item regarding a man taking his own life with a gun in a Cork GPs surgery yesterday. Respect to emergency services dealing with those call outs.

Anyone into craft beer? It's all I drink unless I'm in a place where there's none obviously, then I'll be on the cheapest of the mainstream beers on offer I try to stick to mostly Irish, but will throw some international beers into my deliveries. Whiplash, Kinnegar, White Hag probably my favourites...

According to this guy the Taliban now have M-17 helicopters after some of the Afghanistan Airforce went over to the Taliban side... also US Scan Eagle drones. When you think about it how much did this war cost the US, what was the point of it, considering the outcome now. What an absolute sh!t stor...

Natives = women and children in case they didn't know. Twitter is hopping with movement into Kabul. You'd think with drones NATO could slow it down considerably
