Re: Israel and Palestine

I must say I like the idea of the ICC issuing arrest warrants for various fascist thugs around the world and if was made clear - way out - to all of these 'great' world leaders - Putin, Netanyahu, Kim Jong Un, Ali Khamenei, Bashar al-Assad, Ismail Haniyeh, Victor Orban, Donald Trump etc. that they w...

Joe Lynam (Business Editor) from the Homepage of his website https://www.joelynam.com/ " Joe Lynam is a respected broadcaster and moderator " but he has obviously never heard the saying that " self-praise is no praise ". His website drips with smugness accentuated by the selectio...

It should go the same way as "The Chime in the Slime" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Millennium_Clock,_Dublin and whoever authorised its installation should have the cost deducted from their salaries but, of course, we know that nobody will face consequences.

Re: Tents cleared from alongside the Grand Canal

I walked from Rathmines to Grand Canal dock today and there were quite a few tents - all the same brand - so some NGO must have provided them. Is there ever going to be an end to this insanity?

Tents cleared from alongside the Grand Canal

Where will the next one spring up? Action which should have been taken years ago has been taken at last to remove tented encampments off the streets but until we have border controls reintroduced it won't be long before a new wave of immigrants arrive. https://www.rte.ie/news/ireland/2024/0509/14481...

Re: PSNI facing collaspe

I would look at home first - the Gardai are in as much danger of collapse as the PSNI. I often wonder how the Irish State and its security services would have coped if they had been under the same pressure as the RUC/PSNI for 30+ years. The Gardai have a manpower crisis, an equipment crisis, a moral...

I missed it last night as I would rather stick pins in my eyes that watch the Eurovision and I have even managed not to hear the song anywhere either. Who the f..k gives a damn about how Bambie Thug identifies and what has it got to do with the Eurovision? Why 'these' people feel that they are some ...

Re: Ospreys at the Loch of the Lowes, Perth & Kinross, Scotland

Things are not looking good at the Loch of the Lowes Osprey site as the male bird has gone AWOL for the last four days. No food means desperation for the female who will be forced to leave the nest unprotected while she goes fishing herself. Assuming the eggs hatch and still no return of the male wi...

You've got to hand it to Ciara Kelly, in this morning's programme in a segment on increasing spending on air travel etc. she said "a lot of people talk out of both sides of their mouths" and she should know.

As the saying goes, "patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel", and the SNP and their their brothers in arms Plaid Cymru have nothing to offer except their hatred of the Union. Quite who would benefit from a break-up of the UK apart from Putin and other enemies of the West is hard to s...
