Wasn't great but it was played like a pre season friendly in my opinion. Great to see Elanga getting noticed and the other kids getting game time.

A better game than I was expecting. Handy game midweek should allow for some coaching land getting to know new tactics.

Re: Manchester United Club Thread v1
Yeah I think today is the type of game that ole needs to show he has learned something. Southampton are going to try to sit back more then Leeds and he will have to change it up. It's also the type of game that could be scoreless on 60 minutes and needs a sub.... Not no changes until 80 minutes. Goo...

Re: Manchester United Club Thread v1
The damage is the wages he's on. A waste of resources. Agree but that's not gonna change now. No one else will pay his wages so the club will end up paying them one way or another. Saying that if I remember correctly I think he wasn't on that hight a wage and there was playing incentives built in.

Re: Manchester United Club Thread v1
Jones is 4th or 5th choice defender so can’t see him playing many PL games. Maybe a few cup games if Utd are stretched. Personally prefer he was moved on but there won’t be many takers 🤨 Absoloutly no harm in having him there. He is 5th choice not gonna play unless Bailey and Lindelof are injured w...

Re: Manchester United Club Thread v1
Would you think that's true ? That a club can just take your squad number. I would imagine the player would have to consent to it. Some players are attached to a jersey number and others are not The club register the numbers with the league so ultimately they have the power. They told martial he wa...

Re: Manchester United Club Thread v1
Looking forward to seeing Varane in the back 4 for the Southampton game next week. I see today's papers covering the story that Jones wouldn't surrender the no. 4 shirt, despite not being seen on the pitch for 18 months, being long term injured and seemingly on his way out of the cub. Odd I find th...

See no point in Griezmann really unless its a very cheap deal. We had a chance of him a few years ago and didn't get him so think that boat sailed. We be only doing Barca a favour and well feck them. If hate to see us sign him. He used us for new deals for years no thanks your past your best now.

Re: Manchester United Club Thread v1
If I had a choice of the two I'd think I'd keep Jessie and flog martial and promote Elanga make sure he gets games on the left he has earned time. We would have cavani and Greenwood for middle then sancho, Rashford, Elanga, Jessie looking after the wide spots no other team has anymore then that and ...

Re: Manchester United Club Thread v1
I think as squds are now we should be looking at third place for a minimum requirement for Ole, I know pool have the so called tittle winning squad but that's not always a good Thing. Every squad needs refreshing and there forward and all other key positions are players hitting 30 and older. Injury ...

Is it not him or the club that's meant to set return dates? Seems odd.. Probably be fresher in the long run at least. Will I Amn’t wrote: ↑Sat Aug 07, 2021 5:18 pm Think I read something the other about Ole being unhappy with the return dates of some players?

Watched the first half it was impressive. Pickford helped a lot but still a decent performance. Will need the momentum for Leeds next week. How Soon Is Now wrote: ↑Sat Aug 07, 2021 1:20 pm United 3 0 up against Everton.

Re: General Premier League Discussion
Pool are an unknown quantity I guess. They will have most of the tittle winning team to call on but players age and lose hunger so if they perform to the level they did two year ago they will challenge but as it stanbds there is no freshness in the squad. I'm excited for the new season. Not so much ...

Re: General Premier League Discussion
Could be on for a really interesting season here with so many big moves already confirmed and potentially happening. Try picking a top five at this stage! Unfortunately I think one and two is set just a matter of which order then its a battle for next 2 spots. I think united and pool in 3+4 in any ...

Ye definitely. They also signed Bailey from Leverkusen. It’ll be interesting to see if this has been the Grealish money or there’s more to come. Could be a very decent squad. The owner isn't exactly stuck for cash he seems happy enough to keep things ticking over but I don't think they will go much...

Re: Manchester United Club Thread v1
Kane after City and Chelsea after Lukaku. If both of those go through that leaves an interesting summer in 2022 when I believe Haalands release fee will be £70m and Mbappe could be out of contract. If both those moves go through then they are unlikely to be in the market next summer for another for...

Goals hasn’t really been an issue for them though. Liverpool are still the superior team if van Dijk is 2019 van Dijk. As a total neutral in this debate I think Liverpool are far from been the superior team. Fergie used to pride himself and talk about the most important thing to staying on top was ...
