Re: Alec Baldwin Kills Cinematographer

Very sad. One would wonder how this could happen that an actor was handed a lethal weapon. Feel very sorry for Alec Baldwin, a tragic accident that he will relive for the rest of his day's. Don't know how anyone could even think he's responsible for this.

Re: Work & Jobs

So, that's it....my job is advertised. No turning back now. As much as I don't want to leave, bossperson doesn't want me to leave either. So, we've agreed I can do a bit from home (hours to suit myself + payrise), and the new full time person will be in the office.....doing less than I did. I had t...

Read about that this morning, when I saw the bit about the wooden cross being pulled up and used as a weapon, I thought we have definitely reached a new low. V upsetting for the family of whoever is buried there - disgraceful carry on.

Well Del! Aren't you the lucky one. I am so jellus of your good fortune. What do you plan to spend the money on or do you intend to do a good deed and distribute it to other worthy causes like Frances and paddy did?

I am indeed considering offering a course or courses such is the demand for being right-on and #woke right now. If you were to send me a private message with a 100,000 word explanation as to why you should be considered suitable, along with a cheque for say €30,000 as a non-refundable deposit (smal...

Re: Joe Duffy's Liveline: otherwise sometimes known as Deathline

I was thinking of asking Leo to cancel GAA because of the lack of diversity at inter-county level. I can't remember when I last saw a person of colour on The Sunday Game either playing or on the panel......it's just not right in this day and age. I have written to my spiritual advisor Dr. Ebun Jose...

Re: TV Ads - best and worst

For me it's that newish Vodafone ad with the kid that seems to feel neglected by his parents as they favour the younger brother. So it shows the mother reading to the younger kid and the older guy visibly upset etc etc. To deal with this issue of sad child who feels left out, the parents buy him a p...

This afternoon we got heavy drizzle and a light wind, was really lovely. Maybe I'm a bit odd but I love this time of year when the evenings get dark and we get rain. I really love it if we get wind and rain together, nothing better than heading out for a walk in that weather. Don't like the summer a...

You know when there are a number of ways of doing something.. Re: Kerry Babies "No desire to press charges"

Does this strike anyone else as most odd, and unacceptable? Surely a brutal murder such as this should and must be investigated and the offender prosecuted as appropriate? This is very strange alright, surely if the person who committed this crime is detected, then there will be some sort of conseq...

Well if this is coming to Galway I hope something is done about the traffic situation there although the link below does state Oranmore as the possible location. Had to collect my son from nuig last Friday and it took over an hour from the clinic roundabout to nuig. Granted it was just around rush h...

Anyone know where you can get a decent Scallions (spring onions?). Its only occasionally and not in any particular season that any of the main supermarkets have good stock. Most of the stock seems to have been stored for months before going on sale. We grew a limited supply ourselves this year but ...

Look what greeted me when I went to check on cattle. Totally stuck in drain. No budging him, needed tractor and front loader and a bit of help. Lifted out, was fine but as I started to repair fence he turned and headed straight back to the hole he was just lifted from!

Will was some character. Wasn't he just!! Have a 16 year old here and he watched FC just for Will and the overall 'comedy factor' of Fair City. Oh God, just seeing this now. I was on boards for years, rarely posted but ODB was one of my favourite posters.
