Re: LIV Saudi sponsored Golf Event and the morally bankrupt golfers?
There's no way anyone could have thought Graeme McDowell and class belonged in the same sentence.

Re: 200,000 Ukrainians could come to Ireland
I always knew this would get nasty. Not just here I mean, but nationwide. There’s a big division coming over this and it’ll make the divisions that covid created seem minuscule.

Re: 200,000 Ukrainians could come to Ireland
If you think "let's lie on the census so our houses won't be taken" is serious discussion, we disagree. And going completely off topic hardly advances *serious discussion". Now, Ukrainians coming to Ireland? I never mentioned them being taken, not did I mention them definitely using ...

Re: 200,000 Ukrainians could come to Ireland
I don’t trust this government, and their constant yearning for a pat on the head from the EU, not to get to the stage where they’re landing at peoples doors and forcing home sharing on them. For a start I’ll be sticking 1 bedroom on the census form come April and hope for their usual laziness in sel...

Now that I think of it I’ve done nothing yet. I’ll look into how or what you can give, I think there were a few local things I missed as I didn’t know they were happening until they were done. Fair play to anyone willing to house people, I couldn’t do it.

We should eat soda bread then. And we should be doing all this long before any war started anyway.

The way the government have given industries a free pass to do as they please he's a million miles out of touch. Shopping around is only worth it if there are good options to shop around for.

Are we bound by UK gagging?
Just heard them on virgin saying they can’t talk about the Greenwood thing because it’s with the police and just got me thinking again if this is actually the case. Are we bound by UK gagging laws about cases or is what Britain do just so ingrained in our media that they just do it on auto pilot? Or...

Re: General Current Affairs Chat - Global and Local
If you took every single one of those head case tweets in the past few days and replaced 'all men' with 'all blacks' or 'all muslims' or even 'all english', there would have been war. It's absolutely sick the way some groups have latched on to such a tragedy.

RTE just summed it up there. 10 minutes on vigils and interviewing people on about “gender based violence” and then it’s basically, ‘oh yeah some lad in Donegal was killed too’ - now onto Novak Djokovic.

Re: Ireland's Obesity Crisis
I can kind of understand the other poster's argument. If a shop offered a choice of salad or a pizza, and the customer consistently chose the pizza, then they only have themselves to blame for their obesity and inevitable heart attack. The problem is the shops are not even offering a healthy option...

Re: The end of my beer drinking days - minimum alcohol pricing
LOL a bit of an overreaction surely? The housing crisis, the stripping away of our civil liberties, and the demographic replacement of the native Irish are not cause for concern but a bureaucrat increases the price of beer and there are calls for a revolution. Hardly. Like I said, they’re all...

Re: Ireland's Obesity Crisis
I cycle a bit and stuff my pockets with figrolls and a banana in case of the "knock" AKA the "bonk" of hypoglycemia to give it the correct title. If I go in to most shops in villages looking for a supplement to the pocket food it is really difficult to buy anything that's not lo...

Re: The end of my beer drinking days - minimum alcohol pricing
The main people who will suffer from this are the people trying to stretch the euros to put food on the table for kids out of an allowance which will be smaller now because any addict is going to insist they still get their weekly allotment of drink regardless of the price. And their kids who will ...

Re: The end of my beer drinking days - minimum alcohol pricing
This is just another thing in a long line of 'we get what we deserve', the very same as what fuel costs or what insurance companies get away with or how accomodation works or how we're EU when it suits and not at other times. And more and more of these things will come down the line because we lie b...
