Vodafone Out Of Office
It’s option 3 on the voicemail settings. Does anyone know why this doesn’t work any more? The ‘name only’ (option 2) doesn’t seem to activate either.

I've tried every different one in all the supermarkets now and have resigned myself to the fact that it just doesn't exist any more.

Re: What are you paying for your diesel/petrol?
Yesterday morning, my local Applegreen dropped their prices through the floor (relatively speaking) - €2.05 to €1.79. I received word on the vine, a "blink and you'll miss it" event. By the time I landed, there was a queue twenty strong backed up on both sides of the road. Everyone was go...

Re: Annoyances & Irritations
The amount of bucket rattling fuckers in shop doors these days is unreal. They need to get card machines or piss off (preferably the latter) as nobody has cash any more.

Re: What haven't you done since the pandemic started....
I miss the pub a lot, haven’t been in one since all this began but I don’t think I’ll ever be in one again as I have a mental block about it now and can’t do it. I drink lots at home anyway, to me alcohol isn’t an evil, but I’d love even one real pint again.

Aren't most cars automatics now anyway? So drivers shouldn't even need to think past the needle showing the speed.

Re: Irish Football team - Euros and World Cups
There's only about 6 countries in the world that take rugby seriously so it's nowhere near as hard. Plus soccer would lose players to GAA as they're more 'of the people' so there's a larger crossover. There wouldn't be as much with rugby as their demographic wouldn't be the GAA type.

Re: Good smooth black pudding
Only smooth black pudding I know of is Dennys or one of the cheaper supermarket own brand ones. Denny’s wouldn’t really be smooth though. There’s one you find on some deli counters that’s jet black, can hardly be lifted it’s such a smooth mix, and a lovely red hue in the middle. No bits whatsoever.

Good smooth black pudding
Does anyone know where you can get a good smooth black pudding these days without all the seeds in it? Rudds used to be mighty stuff a few years ago but it’s completely changed now - was identical to a Waldrons one I got recently. They seemed to be the best two of a bad lot. Obviously the ring in th...

Re: Just how green are EV?
This is reassuring since most of my driving uses the 30km of battery range in my plug in hybrid. The relatively small tank of fuel (36L) can last months. Since buying an electric bike, I do very little driving tbh. I really only need the car to do shopping of the kind that won't fit in a bike panni...
