Read it and see, official BBC website. the BBC is not bound by any laws to tell the truth on the BBC world wide service, its funded and under the oversight of the Foreign Secretary, in other words a propaganda arm of the UK government. List of Irish companies ‘trading with Russia’ sent to Department of Foreign Affairs Couple of thoughts here, firstly if The Department of Foreign Affairs don't know who here is still trading with Russia we need a new DFA, secondly if the Ukrainian embassy are saying they have past this list one the...

Re: The tactics

... Take a moment and think for yourselves, the media says Russia is taking heavy casualties to its Conscription army, Conscription in Russia is a 12-month draft, which is mandatory for all male citizens ages 18–27, with a number of exceptions. Putin has stated there are ZERO Conscription forces in...

Re: The tactics

I'm wondering how much of a deliberate tactic it is for the Russians to keep blocking the refugees?

A city full of civilians eats everything quicker than a city that is just full of fighters.

Re: The tactics

If the Ukrainians can disrupt the Russian supply lines then I think they can drag this out for a long time.

If they just sit and take the punishment then I think Russian artillery will win the day.

The tactics

I thought it might be worth a separate thread on Just the military side of the war in the Ukraine. To put it bluntly I don't see how Ukraine can win against Russia but the defence of Kiev could end up a massive meat grinder on the scale of Verdun. What Russia has in spades is Artillery and they seem...

I've been using these guys https://coaldirectireland.com/ for the last 3 (4?) years. Just phone up with a credit card. Delivery is included in the price. Delivery on a pallet and normally 20kg bags which are easy enough to shift if the driver can't get the pallet near to where you want them. Normall...

7 quid on the bag of coal. That's a lot! Flour going to go up likely quite a lot, as Ukraine will not plant much this year. I usually get all my flour in large bags from Kilkenny mills but unfortunately one cannot bulk buy flour in advance as it does not keep, even if well stored. Being dependent o...

Tin foil hat time. We know the EU has printed trillions of €uro out of nothing. The entire EU could be at jeopardy if the €uro collapses New immigrants are needed to kick the can down the road, new immigrants take out loans that are added to the nations GDP. The EU public has reached the limit on t...

Its easier for child like levels of comprehension to understand than a wall of text. Got to cater to the audience What audience, you think people read all the drivel you come out with? A couple of lines is the most I bother with and as for watching any of the video clips you post you must be joking?

I found this link that has a list of current sanctions on Russia https://som.yale.edu/story/2022/over-200-companies-have-withdrawn-russia-some-remain. Even Lego are doing their bit and have suspended shipments to Russia. Although I think for some companies Russia has become a logistical nightmare so...

Don't think it will make any difference, 28 old soviet migs against Russia's current airforce ? They'll be blown out of the skies when they enter Ukrainian airspace. Waste of time but at least Poland get some good second hand aircraft as replacements. Good way of modernising their fleet and sending...

I think this idea was ridiculed a few pages back Poland to send MiG-29 fighter jets to US base but it's happening all the same. I really don't know where this is all going to end but if the Russian effort doesn't improve then I see the west piling in more and more military aid to fight a Proxy War.
