Re: Kin - New RTE drama

Enjoyed last night's episode, especially the rip-roaring performance featuring Bren. If he's not been signed up for the prospective second season, the writers need to get clipped :D As usual, Anna's and Nikita's performances were absolutely dire, the former appearing like a random person they plucke...

Re: Will this place take over from Boards?

I check in on Boards most days, but zero interest in posting. I check in here maybe every second day but I'm just not arsed posting here either, really. No particular reason, just a bit disillusioned and disinterested in forums at the moment.

Kin - New RTE drama

Caught the trailer, saw the cast and decided to give RTE a rare chance to impress. I wasn't disappointed. Beautifully shot, very good acting, and a very tense and enjoyable first episode to kick it all off. I won't give any spoilers here, but I'm sold on it and already looking forward to the next ep...

Re: Fitness & Weight Loss

Enjoying being back to the gym again after being away since the start of Covid. Well, I'm enjoying the weightlifting, can't say the same for cardio! But I'm determined to turn the 30lb weight gain over the past two years into something solid.

Crazy crazy, but my goodness, what a find. Fair dues to whoever buys her. I'm not sure if I'd want them to use it as she was intended to be used, or keep her mint.

The Matrix: Resurrections

So the trailer just dropped... https://youtu.be/eC4PI9y6AVQ I'm kinda 50/50 on it. On one hand, it looks balls to the wall action packed and clearly stars John Wick, so one can only assume The Agents have dognapped his dog. On the other hand, it feels like a pseudo-retelling of the first movie, and ...

I have absolutely zero knowledge on wood, drying or anything else like the other lads here. But I can't for the life of me see why you'd invest a fairly hefty chunk of cash into this, CR. What's the motivating factor(s)?

Re: If I could start out again...

Loads of info here, thanks especially to Bullets! I think I'll be coming back to that post a few times! To give a short answer for the moment, I'm probably thinking more landscape and street photography. Strictly for fun, zero desire to turn it into a money maker (plus everyone and their dog is a ph...

If I could start out again...

I've wanted to take up photography for years, but various things have pulled me away.

I'm wondering if those who do it as a hobby could advise how they'd start and what advice they'd give a beginner starting out?

Watched Triple Frontier tonight. Solid action movie. Not amazing, but definitely not poor either. Well worth a watch on Netflix if you fancy an easy two hour watch.

Re: Irishman Cian McLaughlin missing in Wyoming since June 8 2021

I ended up climbing a mountain that I thought was a hill from maps etc not so long ago. Big heavy backpack on, and on my own. Realised then that, 1) People find themselves in potentially dangerous situations where they should have known better, and 2) I was now one of those people. Hope the lad is f...

Re: Fitness & Weight Loss

HA, you may benefit from upping your protein and either maintaining or reducing your carb intake. Lower carb, with higher protein and (healthy) fats are more conducive to weight loss. I found IF great for weight loss, but unfortunately it didn't mix well with my desire to bulk up a few years ago! So...
