Gabriel Fauré - Piano Quartet No.2 in G minor, Op.45 - 3. Adagio non troppo
One of these compositions that tells me its time to hit the hay and get some shut eye.

Re: Anyone still glued to this?
Agree with a lot of what's said above but the last part about strong men - no! The last thing the world needs is more strong men aka dictators. The problem is that many of these countries from Russia, China, North Korea, through to Turkey, Iran etc. is that they have no experience of proper democra...

Re: Anyone still glued to this?
A conflict with China needs to be headed off now not when it happens and reunification with Taiwan will only happen through diplomacy and time being the healer. Any conflict involving the USA and China over events that took place the best part of 100 years ago is absolute lunacy. There are real pro...

Re: Anyone still glued to this?
While I respectfully have to disagree with some aspects of the last two posters outlook on this, I will say in my view that America will eventually have to disengage from supporting this conflict. The Pentagon is already saying that they could be in a war with China as early as 2025. China will be a...

The crazy Chinese and their indestructable helium balloon death ships. Reminds me abit of reading of the panic associated with the War of the Worlds radio broadcast in the 30s where people fled areas that were mentioned in the broadcast fearing being zapped by the alien invaders. If the Pentagon rel...

 I'm finding the balloon thing hilarious. On twitter there's all sorts of people coming out with theories that it contains a deadly virus, that it could be some sort of nuclear emp device etc..The Chinese could have made a fortune with advertising on this thing. https://twitter.com/townhall...

Re: IMMIGRATION OUT OF CONTROL
I think we should take all the Ukrainians we can. I think we should not take Albanians or Georgians popping over from London, or people from anywhere else where they are not directly in present danger. For those people, bored in the village or sick of where they live because it's not groovy, there ...

Re: IMMIGRATION OUT OF CONTROL
To me the war in Ukraine has brought all this to a head, and with the current mass mobilisation taking place in Ukraine you will have more people fleeing / getting out of the country to avoid being used as cannon fodder against the Russians. Don't blame them would do the same myself. This is causing...

Re: Customs Duty on WW1 Medals
Tariff codes is very important if shipping via AnPost as CR has pointed out. Most shipping companies clearing the goods on entry will, if the tariff code is missing, either contact the receiver or input a general code that roughly represents the goods being imported. An Post however won't go to this...

Very good letter published by Agriland from a man in Wexford highlighting some of the issues in the DAFM at the moment.

When new members come on board its a good place to get all the stuff you wanted to say on planks off your chest but could not. Sort of like weening a calf from its mother, a resting point before you go full Gubu. When you go full Gubu planks becomes a distant memory, except when new members join. :m...

Regarding this, a few weeks ago the Rand Organisation, which I have read is a think tank favoured by the Pentagon (but I could be wrong on that) published a view. Avoiding the Long War. Sorry if it is posted here already - sometimes I skim / half read 😬 https://www.rand.org/pubs/perspectives/PEA251...

+1 I couldn't believe Stoltenberg stoking the fire regarding China. Anybody with a brain would be trying to gently drive a wedge between Russia and China but this fool is pushing them together. Whatever chance they had of driving a wedge between China and Russia is gone. China know that if the atte...

The UK will be fine. The last invasion was the Normans about 1000 years ago. I'm thinking would Putin want to emulate Peter the Great. After all, he reached Paris.... Re: Anyone still glued to this?
What if the whole thing is a feint by the Commies to draw all NATO's tanks etc. into the Ukraine and weaken their defences elsewhere? The UK's remaining two tanks, one platoon of horse guards and two leaky aircraft carriers won't be able to do much. They will probably be begging Ireland for a loan ...
