I don’t boil vegetables, but when I steam them I make sure they’re actually cooked. I don’t mind a raw one, though it’s not very appealing, but I definitely don’t want a cooked one that’s half raw.

Re: Ireland's Obesity Crisis
I like the way we cook things here. A bite in a vegetable is vile and nothing made with mince should be rare.

Any Irish person taking a British ‘honour’ should be handing the passport in. Maybe they can get a British one with their MBE.

NI probably still has the better roads overall because the standard doesn’t drop as massively when you go off a main road up there.

Somebody hoovers up under the Christmas tree and some poor soul has to count the needles? I wouldn't expect any "real" figures until the second week of January really ...(when every body is back from their break) They’ll be lower then anyway to lead us to believe the schools don...

For me there’s two genders and you’re born the one you are, but I’m old so I just don’t pay attention to things that go down this route and get on with my own thing. It’s not like I watched the rubbish as it was anyway.
Re: Weather
Very little reported on it as opposed to when it’s in the south west. It would also lead you to believe it’s all Wexford and not Wicklow and Carlow also.

I’ve followed 99% of this to the letter from day one up until now, but I’m done with any advice from them after they buried their heads and left schools open til the death.

I cooked mine yesterday, 20lbs. I take the legs, wings, and popes nose off it then just cover with foil, 40 mins at 200⁰C, then turn to 180⁰C for another 40, remove foil and leave it at 180 until it hits 74⁰C on the thermometer. The limbs get cooked separately at hotter temperatures.

I’ve had it. No hospital or anything but around a month later I still have very little energy and my chest whistles when I breathe.

Re: Driving on the M7 and M50
Worst one for me is always the M6 here because whatever it is about the mentality on it, at least half the people on it will speed up as soon as you go to overtake them. Horrible road for it, the midlands section mainly.

Re: Driving on the M7 and M50
To be honest I drive in the middle myself now most of the time. I was always a stickler for staying left (late at night it’s a great express lane) but you just get worn down and weary by being boxed in by middle lane dawdlers. If you can’t beat them, join them! It’s much less stress.

No racism by anyone should be the ultimate goal. Things like 'whitey' don't really help anyone.Banshee Bones wrote: ↑Tue Dec 14, 2021 10:07 pm Poor old whitey though that his sensitivities around race would be reciprocated by those that he's patronising
