Re: Dealz Stores in Dublin - Not all that glistens is Gold..

There is a second Dealz in the retail area where Lidl and Home Store and more are located. It is much bigger than the Nutgrove Centre one. Parking fine too.

Re: New tablet

Thanks.... I looked in settings of camera and tablet and could not see any relevant one... no did not reset. The pictures are coming up as negatives...like old negative film of old. It is packed back into its box now and I will return it next week and maybe get a refund. I am away over a week so not...

Re: GOOD Long wave / FM / AM RADIO

I must admit to listening to a lot of radio during the night if wakeful so bit serendipity'. This would be mostly Newstalk, and blissfully free of ads. Only one hour of 'catch up' on RE .... but the radio podcasts are good way to chase down some item of interest that you might have caught half of. N...

Re: selling sovereigns

Would weight be significant issue if 'mint'? seems expensive route to go with auction house and is it 20% commission. Too valuable for ebay? Must make enquiries... and I see online auctions nowadays, could be addictive!

Thanks for replies both of you. I need to travel again on Tuesday so might go for something cheap, a chance to replace some of photos when away. New tablet

My 5 yrs old Samsung tablet has 'died' ... the port for power cable is broken ( not full of fluff!). I used it often and it filled a gap between phone and laptop especially for travel. It had a great screen so I liked it for TV viewing, decent camera and also made reading electronic newspapers a ple...

Re: Ryanair treatment of passengers

Not so easy these days to be printing up boarding pass. My home printer is less used and misbehaves and when away it is not so handy to find a printer.

As for the story in I Times, it was a long one and needed a full page to relate so not easy to precis.

Ryanair treatment of passengers

A well written piece by Conor Pope in today's I Times. I had reason to lodge a complaint myself last week. I see I need to escalate matters to get any attention!

I have about 15 short clips on whatsapp that I would like to transfer to some format and maybe intersperse with still photos and make it flow as one presentation. I am not tech savvy so something basic please, any recommendations?

Re: What is the most thorough health checkup someone should get for an undetected chronic health issue?

I have always been annoyed that cars get better attention than people. It is very easy to fall between the cracks with medical stuff eg not following up on referrals/blood tests/scan etc. I am guilty of that but never remarked on by GP.

Re: Hand-painted postcards: quality art for buttons

In our family we have several autograph books from early 20th Century. Several of the pages have lovely artwork, signed and dated. It seemed to be a thing to do, to be able to paint/draw like being able to play piano... but there were servants for the cooking!
