Re: Best places to get my wisdom tooth removed?
Go with whoever your dentist recommends? it will prob involve some general anesthetic so not done in an ordinary dental set up. My daughter had hers done in some place on Northbrook Road. I was born minus three wisdom teeth....go figure!

Re: Why is YouTube becoming so Clunky to use?
I use AdBlocker. It is free but they request donations now and again so I give them 5 euro. Makes Youtube a great resource and can play online game without ad popups distracting on sidelines.

Re: Excess Mortality
Surely the CSO have direct access to the civil registration of deaths and would not need to bother with RIP which is a commercial website?

Re: Excess Mortality
One reason for higher numbers in RIP is that often there are double entries such as when the person died but came from a different county. Also some people who died abroad might appear there also if the non Irish undertaker contacts RIP. Also Irish people may be brought home for their funerals so th...

Re: Excess Mortality
RIP cannot measure up to real stats but can give indication. It is at discretion of family that a notice is published in paper/RIP and only undertakers can put posts on RIP.

The hygenist removes plaque that builds up and is not cleared by toothbrush. Also checks generally and advises of tricky bits to clean. My partner has a badly done implant that needs frequent attention.

It is the hygenist I dread... I make sure to remind her that I have sensitive gums and to give a bit extra of the numbing gel that she applies.

Glad you went with the rough finish, think of slipping on damp smooth tiles. Maybe think of a grey grout as white will be unforgiving. I find a steam mop good for clean hard surfaces.

this threat of VAT certainly puts me off ordering any thing from UK. Medals often come up for sale ... how about adopting one from some other poor solider whose family have no interest in the medals? So many young boys who would have no direct descendants.

Re: Argos to leave Ireland
Sorry to see it go, used down the years and in UK when years back it was not in Ireland. But felt death knell when the catalogue went... and in past year nothing seemed to be in stock ... and unavailable elsewhere so frustrating. We miss Roches Stores !
