Re: Will Russia Invade Ukraine Tonight.

Its easier for child like levels of comprehension to understand than a wall of text. Got to cater to the audience What audience, you think people read all the drivel you come out with? A couple of lines is the most I bother with and as for watching any of the video clips you post you must be joking?

Re: Another not a bargain alert.

Another not a bargain that turned out OK after online chat with an Amazon rep. Picked up another network Mikrotik router from Amazon Warehouse and it arrived like new in its original packing but missing its power supply. Now I'd have no problem finding a power supply for it but on principle I got on...

Re: What are you paying for your diesel/petrol?

1.79 for diesel at Tesco/Certa in Dundalk. Huge queues!!! If you you had a crystal ball and posted that 12 months ago you'd have been laughed at. I can remember in the UK when it was big news when petrol broke the 10 shillings (50p) a gallon barrier (probably 1969 ish?). So back then a liter would ...

Re: Amazon Prime - ones to watch!

Was looking forward to the next episode of Star Trek; Pickard | Season 2 episode 2 but they have played the Q card which means they don't have a decent plot so will resort to be doing anything daft to make up a story. Could easily be the last episode of Pickare S02 I bother with. S01 was OK, not gre...

Re: New Limit to *****s you can put on IGNORE on boards.

I don't think its a big deal but in my experience once old wounds are opened it can take quite a bit of blood letting to close them again. If I'd bothered I'd have quite a large list of users to IGNORE, but once you have to resort to that you might as well give up posting. All I'll say is that the o...

Re: New Limit to *****s you can put on IGNORE on boards.

A bit of backseat modding

Think there was an early "suggestion" (might have been in another thread) not to name specific users from the other place :?:

Its hardly necessary anyway as we all know who they are.

I dont see a thread for this but heating oil for the house - 300 litres minimum gone up from 302 euro 3 weeks ago to 560 today. Who can afford that ??? Maybe we could expand the title of the price of Petrol/Diesel thread? Paid £800 for 1000 liters in the UK last week for my mother's house. Same tim...

Re: ESB Networks Smart Meter?

So got a reply back to my second query/comment. If we cannot connect remotely to your smart meter you can still avail of the standard time-of-use tariff through your electricity supply company, this will require a meter reader to visit your premises as is the case currently. Time of use tariffs will...

Re: Amazon Prime - ones to watch!

Another new one I've found on Prime, might not be new to everyone but I'd not heard of it before Stan Against Evil. Its total rubbish but funny and the characters are good.

Perhaps not as good as the better known Ash vs Evil Dead but in a similar vein.

Price gouging. I'm not saying garages always do it but in the current price confusion I'm sure plenty are.

Cabinet sign off on cut of 20c per litre on petrol and 15c on diesel

If nothing else good to see some parity being brought back to the pricing of petrol compared to diesel.

High street buildings owners - a pox on all your houses!

I won't name any particular high street in Ireland because they all seem to be the same, badly maintained buildings with blocked gutters  I had a couple of things to do in town today and got soaked. The rain was bad but the floods of water coming off blocked roof gutters did the actual soaking...

I found this link that has a list of current sanctions on Russia https://som.yale.edu/story/2022/over-200-companies-have-withdrawn-russia-some-remain. Re: Will Russia Invade Ukraine Tonight.

Don't think it will make any difference, 28 old soviet migs against Russia's current airforce ? They'll be blown out of the skies when they enter Ukrainian airspace. Waste of time but at least Poland get some good second hand aircraft as replacements. Good way of modernising their fleet and sending...

I think this idea was ridiculed a few pages back Poland to send MiG-29 fighter jets to US base but it's happening all the same. I really don't know where this is all going to end but if the Russian effort doesn't improve then I see the west piling in more and more military aid to fight a Proxy War.

LinkGovernment excise duty cuts to reduce petrol and diesel cost by 15 to 20c

Don't see it helping that much and just leaves room for more gouging. If the public will pay the higher price why will forecourts rush to reduce prices if the taxes come down?
