Better to vote for the status quo in that case, if the Government is intent on changing something and you either disagree or are ambivalent, then spoiling your vote only facilitates them.

So you think all the rants we're witnessing are just a media conspiracy? What about the ones on Truth Social?knownunknown wrote: ↑Wed Feb 14, 2024 10:36 pm All that’s left is: he’s crazy(basically I don’t like him but I’m not sure why). Conditioned perfectly by the media.

Re: Trump wants Putin to attack non-paying NATO countries
The point was the connection between trump and Putin that you and the op made which was a lie propagated by the media, funded by Hilary Clinton with help from the DNC(all proven ).the world was far safer under trump’s presidency, he’s not deranged and his obsession with power is not bad in and of i...

What should change it is new evidence. You’re still stuck circa ~2016 which is no surprise considering how much the media repeat the lies while the corrections never seem to reach the same amount of people. https://apnews.com/article/durham-trump-russia-probe-7e84f94ca9cf7905cbc5eddc108575b3 https:...

Re: 2009-2015ish Did anyone predict the housing shortage ?
I remember during the crazy Celtic tiger days, you had Morgan Kelly and David McWilliams on TV predicting that it would end but I don't recall anyone saying in the early 10s that we should be building social housing, indeed the narrative was pretty much that we had enough houses until the end of ti...

And Fergus Finlay on Newstalk this afternoon saying that Ireland should be prepared to take in 100,000 refugees from Gaza.. ffs....is there no end to the madness? Re: Trump wants Putin to attack non-paying NATO countries
You are quoting a video which suggests otherwise in which trump was warning Europe not to become dependant on Russian energy, and thus enrich “Vlad”. How does that fit into your analysis? Of Trump? It doesn't change it. In my view, he is a deranged megalomaniac who will say whatever it takes to sui...

Re: Trump wants Putin to attack non-paying NATO countries
If you’ve been following this sort of thing you’d realize the hyperbole. When president he demanded that nato countries should increase their contributions, increase to the amount previously pledged as it had become practice for many countries to donate less then they had promised. When he brought ...

Always reminds me of the summer of 1966, walking on South William Street with the (then) love of my life. There was a record shop at the top, near Mercer's Hospital, and they played it over and over.

They mentioned both protests, but every single interview was with the counter protest in support of dodgy immigrants. Nothing, zilch, SFA from the many thousands that were at the ant...

To paraphrase Monty Python's John Cleese - this place wouldn't "voom" if you put four million volts through it. It's not Guburnor or the site's fault that the bulk of younger people can only take/give information in 3 second snapchat/tiktok sound bites or prefer to get their information f...

My new favourite "word" I love to hate is snuck, another creation of those barbarians across the Atlantic, I'm sure. It has, however, slipped into common usage across the Anglophone world and I've even heard it, perish the thought, on the Beeb. I'm surprised my generation ever managed to c...
