One small thing

The unread notification colour scheme is like a light grey background and white writing. I can't read it at all.

It should be dark grey, just double checked on Chrome/Android. Do you mean the little tick box to mark as read or literally the whole thing?

Ah ok I understand now, that was fixed a few days ago, can you clear cache on your browser and it should be sorted?

Are the user stats a bit biased being that they are based on users active over the past 480 minutes which is 8 hours?

I don't know what time period other sites use but a 60 minute period would seem more logical and give more accurate information as to numbers online?

There is no bias in the stats, they're accurate! But yes the timescale is longer than other sites. It was set at the start to specifically to counter the chicken and egg nature of new discussion forums: people see only a handful of users online right now > think well I won't to bother to post anything if there is nobody online to discuss with > lack of discussion means there are only ever a handful of people online

As the site gains traction, we'll definitely be bringing the timescale down.

In case you haven't has a reply or worked it out you can change it in your profile on the bottom line of your Board Preferences/Edit global preferences. afaik a change there affects how you see the time on all the pages of the site.

Thought as much, thanks for the honesty of your post.

On another point is is possible to have some form of quick reply box at the bottom of each thread. As you might have noticed I've just been over profile preferences in case there is an option there to include it and couldn't find one

The reason for asking is it can save going back to the previous page from the editor when you want to check something or want to go back for a copy and paste. Not a priority just a nice to have.

Just added quick reply. Will leave it active for a while and see if any further feedback for or against.

In case you missed it, when you're in the editor, if you scroll down page, the full content of the thread is there in reverse order if you need to double check something/copy and paste etc.

Anyone know how to go to your last read post of a thread..?

It's usually a lighter shade to indicate no new posts.

I see we have a Woodworking forum but I wonder if that's too specific too soon?

What I mean is woodworking is a very specific compared to say DIY.

Perhaps there should be more encompassing threads with an aim to split them out later?

Woodworking could be part of a Woodworking, DIY and Home Improvement forum which would cover more bases. I'm not suggesting that as a title more an example.

I think there might be some evidence of at least one site going to far and having too many specific forums. I'm fairly sure we don't for example need a forum to discuss Mustard - but I may be wrong

Can the quote and like buttons be moved to the bottom of a post, having to scroll up for them is going against the grain
