Well that's better.
That passed the time.
It would have passed in any case.

Best prformance from us in a long time but we need to repeat it on Sunday, the pressure is off slightly, now w only need to win , a draw would have meant we would have to win by 2 goals.

Ireland were well worth it too, couldn't fault a single player. If we play like that on Sunday, we'll easily beat Hungary, so fingers, and everything else, crossed

Great result and it gives a realistic item to play for on Sunday. Not getting carried away as Hungary are no pushover and it is away at their place so that is a sobering thought.

But. If they can beat Portugal 2-0 they have it in them to beat Hungary. It will have been a huge lift to the team to take a scalp like Portugal and now we have the imponderable to ponder- I ask nothing but for the team to give it a proper go.

Parrott needs to be given the start on Sunday, even if Ferguson is fit. He seemed to raise the games of those around him

A slight note of caution...

Hungary can afford to let us have the ball and play for time. They don't need to win. This creates a problem for us that never would have reared its head against Portugal -- can we break a team down?

We're clearly happier when the opposition takes the game to us as we don't have a midfield that is comfortable in possession. Set pieces, like the corner that led to Parrott's first goal, will be vital.
