FEERAAS 15/2....

an eight horse Maiden where only two have hadde a race.... Feeraas is by Earthlight and that's ye angle here.... never heard of the horse when/if(?) he was racingge, but this 7yo son of Shamardal can get his to win on first or secondde starttes.....

.... Earthlight has had two winners from outta six runners in last ~2wks.... one of those was over 5f on turf, and t'otherre a 6f AW Maiden in Chantilly - both of those were fto runs....

Archie Watson has hadde six winners so far this month, and trainer is capable of getting a win out of his on their first run.... Feeraas is ~9/2 in paper; that looks middling, but is a deal bigger with books atm....

....will do me :)

verdikt: FEERAAS €5 WIN 15/2

go with Hogan's unracedde secondde string here..... NOSEY ANNA is by Calyx out of a Galileo mare.... that breeding combo should, imo, be capable of winning a race 'early doors' over 7f/1m on softish goingge....

.............going was given as 'soft' y'day when me looked....  can't be ruledde out on 'good' groundde neither tho , but would prefer to see it softer....

pickke was well bigger lastte nightte... backedde in from 33s today.... was waitingge for to see what ye given 'going' was for today: and yep, it's improvedde - no surprise there :!:      they sho don't like giving up to date going descriptions i guess - if it can at all be helpedde...

Chelmsford - Standard

top four in bettingke don't seem to ha'e much tae separate em here...... Sunny Street ~ 11/4, has claims on both thirdde andde secondde-last runnnes.... secondde lastte run is interesting i feel...... that were a secondde in a Cl3 at Soutwell over a mile, in January.... the ones what finishedde first and thirdde thatte day have, between them, since won three from out their four subsequentte runs....

..... nonetheless, feeling is this one usually finds at least one too good.... floppedde lto at Haydock on turf.... that was over a mile..... might come placedde, but have difficulty seeing this one win here... not for me

I think Godolphin horse, Historic City ~ 4/1, might want a stifferre trip.... as well as that, Historic City is drawn in box 13, and going on sole startte, looks a hold up horse..... think need to be close to pace to win over a mile at this course....

Star Runner ~ 5/1.... stablemate of pick.... thirdde on debut over 7f at Kempton, followedde up by a well supportedde fourth over Newcasdtle's straight mile don't exactly inspire confidence at ye pricesses....

le pick:

GROOVY BABY 4/1.... trainedde by A. Balding , who also has aforementionedde Star Runner in this..... has a ~6mth absence and ye widest of all draws to overcome in this 16 runner Cl4 Novice Stakes race.... On debut, Groovy Baby musta been unfancied, as driftedde out to 17/2 from morningge price of 3/1......

...... she come 2nd that day at Chelmsford in five runner race.... that was over 7f.... the Kingman filly got to the frontte ~1f outte thatte daye... only first run, but likely jockey would've heldde onto her for longer had the one he was chasingge been able to take Groovy Baby further along in the race..... Groovy Baby were still stayingge on despite being headedde, and am pretty sure ye extra furlong will suit her here, laterre on today..... that race was ran in a pretty fast time an' all, so gets ye clocke relatedde 'green shoot'....

box 16 is a concernne tbs, but am hoping Nicola Currie will be able to gette a good possy early in this, and hopefully get close to pace w/o havingge to go wide  thinking is a lot of these'll be happy to be heldde up off the pace

a more favourable draw and/or recentte run couldde possibly see this one as closer to a 9/4 shotte, but that's just by the by and don't make no nevermindde, cos neitherre of those 2 boxes be's tickedde.... still, will look on as a sorta green shoote far as her price goes....

.......4/1 looks fair price only: not too short, but no huge value methinkkes.... be no bet at shorter than 3s... will do us anyhow....

verdikt: GROOVY BABY €4 WIN 4/1

8,22

BO TAIFAN 10/1 €2 WIN = €1 EW

is CD winner from this time last year..... about 15/2 going win methinkkes..... has been breaking poorly lately, so will hope this one can get out on terms from box five, to 'opefully provide long overdue winner for trainer Denis P Quinn and jock Raymond Dawwson :)

Epsom - Good to Soft

2,00

MEGALITHIC 4/1.... on the driffgte... rain #expectedde, would have good chance on rain-softenedde ground imo.....

2,35

FANTASTIC FOX 11/1.... 5th in this last year.... should gi'e good account... ground shouldn't be a problemmme... aint got bestest drawwe, or so sayetthhe Martin Dwyer... do me in wide openne race.... mebbe more value for win than each way.... plenty here have nevrer won north of a mile: this race approx 1m 1/2F.... think is about 7/8 to one shotte for win purposes, and think the 11s available bout right for e/w go....

verdikt:

2,00 MEGALITHIC 4/1 €3 WIN.... 2.35 FANTASTIC FOX 11/1 €2 WIN + €2 EW

in 5,30 Nottingham, BERNADINE ~15/2 & SOI DAO ~5/1, are two what can go well here at prices decentte....

will go €3 WIN on both of em....

ones above them in bettingk got ye question marks.... the well supported Beylerbeyi ~9/4, is winless after thirteen starts.... War Chant ~3/1, has a lot of weight and can this one can go well if getting an uncontestedde lead - which looks unlikely, and is deffo vulnerable for win purposes at least....

nowt there.... Soi Dao only 4th - finishedde best o me two pickes .... was wrong about @War Chant an alle: winns @ 7/2

look forwards,

paper has TATHMEEN as 6/1 poke for ye 6f Cl6 hcap in 8,0c Tuesday at Wolves... drawn in box three,,,, hopingge for a not too tardy start from Antony Brittain hoss, and for ye 9yo to come fastte and late with winningge run... dat's me thinkin' anyhoo

.... dinna appear to be a lot of pace comingge from lower box numbers, and likely Red Walls ~ 10/3, and Ustath ~ 10/1, will go on from boxes 5 & 6, here.... think Ustath will lead and Red Walls follow close behindde... could be set up for Red Walls, but is short enough at ye prices and don't win too oftenne neither.... 'fun fact' - less than three lengths is cumulative winningge distance for Red Walls outta his nine careet wins.... dunno if that's any kinda recordde........ might be :D :D

Ripon: Good

8.25

REFUGE 20/1 & SPEEDACUS 33/1. e/w claims on oldde form on good, or close to good groundde.... Speedacus dropping down weights.. running in better races than Cl5's recently & has also had some goes over 6f trips and AW ones.... has only ever won over 5f and on turf surface.... On flip side, has finishedde lastte in six of eight races for current trainer, and only finishedde in front of three horses in total from other two runs    def needs return to form

............. REFUJGE is due a return to form..... thatte ye anhle there

9,00 GEORGIE WOOSTER 2/1 & CURIOUS MRS FOX 7/1

Georgie Wooster won lto on fourth, and first hcap, startte... that was over 7f on good to firm at Redcar.... xtra furlong here looks almostte guaranteed to suit... paper had as 3 to 1 shotte y'day <which would've been v good> ; could well go off at 11/8 imo... think 7/4 fair price; that be shortte enuffe in race like this.... anything north of 9/4 be value here methinkkes..... 2/1 general this one.... think me'll leave off :(

Curious Mrs Fox come 2nd to likely frontrunner here, Havana Prince lto over CD.... time wasn't great, but shouldn't be far away....

think Havana Prince ~6/1, will make running here - like whatte he did when winningge o'er C&D lto.... nice price, but feel he might not get it all his own way here as Salamanca Lad & Due Consideration also like to get on with it early doors....

verdikt: 8.25 Ripon REFUGE 20/1 €2 EW , SPEEDACUS 33/1 €2 EW

9.00 Ripon CURIOUS MRS FOX 7/1 €2 EW

Chelmsford City - Standard

5,45

LOVESTRUCK ROMEO ~7/2 WIN.... having 3rd start - and first one over 6fs..... was sent off short enough price on debut over slightly extendedde 5f trip at Brighton early last monthhe...... faded in last 1f there - from running race from mid-div - and finishedde fourth thenne.... perhaps pace was too hot that day? Anyhow, fared better lto at Sa;isbury <again on turf - 1st AW go here> from a hold-up ride; and tho there's no proof he'll stayye ye extra furlong here, am guessing he likely will.... early doors Wed morn here as i put dahn me thoughts on this one, but think that thisse one couldde well go off shorter than paper price has him at.... think 5/2 is good price, and mebbe he'll go off at ~2s :D

............ is drawn in box one, and perhaps can utilize this stall for to get good early pitch, as mayn't need to be heldde up too far off pace on accountte speed won't be as hectic early on here, like whatte it wouldde be if going o'er ye minimumme.

ENCHANTED EYE ~5/1 EW..... went off a big enough price in a quality <going on grade> maiden at Windsor on debut... that was a Cl2, and sights are loweredde considerably here in tacklingge this Cl5..... a replication of that runne will likely see this one go close.... Enchanted Eye chasedde ye leaderes that day andde is well berthed in stall three to do summat simla here, me hopesse

anyhow, t'otherre one towarddes top o' ye bettingk deserves mentionne: Brian ~ 10/3, came fourth in thatte same maiden at Windsor in that race Enchanted Eye ran in -when Brian was sentte off at a massive price.... was waiting a spell for room thatte dayye, as was heldde up, and managedde a strong run inside final furlongge.... Finished 4th then, beaten about 2Lgths.... Still, that were hold up run, and because of that am keen enough to drawwe line thru, as thinkingge is will need to be close to pace to win here (or else be very good ! ) .... no guarantees he'll be held up -or not win, even, regardless of tactics- , but am guessing he will run from behindde pace and finish well w/o winning....

................ plenty o' top, or fairly decentte at very least, trainers representede with newcomers here, 'nd me reckon it's 50/50 who wins here between ye three above-mentionedde ones and restte o' ye fieldde..... even likes of D F Davis can gette em ready fto, and he has newcomer here as well.... think that chap's aroundde a while, but he didn't appear to be someone who got very many maiden/fto winners early on in his career; thatte is until the last year or so from which i've notedde him getting a fair fewwe early wins from his charges....

yep, an open race, but am happy enough with me two picks there - so long as prices are simla......

6,15

couple of each weighhe hopefulles here at biggish prices....

very tricky race; not many have solid claims here- either on account of trippe, or ye <likely> pace angle.... Some aint never won at this trip, and otherres might've fared well over ~CD -but from front-runningge effort/s , and there be a fewwe here who mightte like to try make alle...

..... wide open imo....

not expectingge win, but can be hopeful of a place here at least :)

MISS TIKI ~ 12/1 EW.. only the one win from twenty runs.... latest trainer has had the mare for her last three runs, and Miss Tiki showedde significant improvement in the latest of those when finishing 4th lto over course and distance..... Miss Tiki has been sent off huge prices for them three runs.... not very reliable, but has sound place claims at prices....

DUVEEN ~ 25/1 EW.. 4yo filly is winless from 18 staerttes,, has never finishedde better than fourth in four course runs at various trippes... nice enough price, but main angle here is jockey booking..... apart from her second run, when partneredde by Molly Gunn, this one has solely been ridden by fully fledged professionals.... Couldde well be that no decent/proper jock wants mount  :D  , but Duveen's jockey S D Bowen aint no joke, as he's hadde quite a few winners in recentte weeks, so his 5lb claim is very interestingge here,,,

those two'll do me here for this Cl6 1m.6f. handicappe..... them's me thoughts currently @ ~04:25 on Wednesday....

#SaveDraftte 'nd revisitte laterer

:)

alright, tis laterer

Goodwood - Good

6,05

LAWN RANGER ~ 14s... WIN=EW..... is former CD winna this 9yo and that were on Good going over CD, albeit way back in August 2019.... was rated in the 80s and 90s way back, around 2020/'21.... plummeting down weights and is now ratedde atte 63...

..... is outte of form in timesse recentte tho, but did win as recentte as August of last year, so will presume is still capable enoughhe....

..... goes well on tracks like Windsor and Goodwood over ~10fs at those tracks and on all kinds of going..... has had quite a few goes at Goodwood itselffe tho - with justte the one win.....

..... an Apprentice race this, and quite a few like to be v. close to pace, but Lawn Ranger looks only possible frontrunner; so perhaps t'otherre apprentices will be happy to take lead <if horse goes on early> off ye Attwater horse.... horse has just the one run this year... he were well supported on Mayday o'er ~11furlongges at Kempton on that comeback runne.... was backedde in from 20s to 8/1 but couldde only finish 5th of seven thatte day... horse were likely runningge over too stiff a trippe then, but ye money suggestes that he must be going well at home....

...... also interesting is the amt o' timesse he's been a non-runner: three times from out his last four declarations he aint participatedde in any race.... could be waiting for the rightte day ! :D :D paper has as 14/1 shotte.... about right for e/w go methinkkes, but perhaps for win purposes, he might could be a few points shorter, mebbe? think about between 9 & 11 to one is fair price for getting his noggin in frontte here....

have no strongge opinions on any of the restte o' t'fieldde.

6,35

go with ISLANOVA ~ 3/1 & WELLBORN ~ 6/1 here....

ISLANOVA followed up poor enough fto run at Newmarket last Sept on debut, by rattlingge crossbar on her reappearance -and secondde ever run- at Bath ~3wks ago, over a mile on good groundde.... Waa stayingge on well then; suspicion is tho this one mightte want further than a mile....

She makes more appeal, to me at least, than ye 'paper' fav, D Flawless ~ 9/4.... this one's also having her thirdde ever start.... 1st run saw her come 2nd over 7fs at Kempton, and followedde that run up with a comprehensive, and prohibitively pricedde, win, when prevailing by 6Lgths at Chelmsford...... a decentte enough price if ya fancies, but on account of ye breeding i think this one mightte be better on softer groundde perhappes.... is having first go on turf here, so will gi'e Johnny G's filly swerve here....

....... D Flawless looks most obvious leader here, so might trade short in-runningge here..... might go cupla yoyo win, andde lay off potential profittes at short in-running prices: bewteen 1/2 & 1/10 mebbe, in hope

secondde pick here is Varian's WELLBORN.... Wellborn will be havingge her thirdde run, and first one this year after tacklingge Kempton's 7f AW trip on bothhe those first two runs.... going on the form of those runs -along with me breeding guess :D > it would seem that a mile on turf should be eminently suitable for Rodja's 3yo daughter of Kingman.... unlikely to be far awayye at the end i wouldst venture

good birra study didde there

#SaveDraft @ 16:51 , Wed 05 June...... revisitte laterer; hopefully get another couple or three races luuked atte afore nightte is outte...

#Motivation

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

~22:00 hrs

anotherre luuk.....

Bath - Good to firm-good in places

tis raining here where i is in middle of ye country,,,,   could well be summat simla acrosse ye pond in @Blightyn where currently, outte o six meets, only one has trace o' soft in @going description; that one's Haydock where it's good to soft-good in places, atm at leasttte....

yep, am worriedde groundde couldde change, so will likely leave off Friday study.....

anyhow, Classified Stakes race caught us eye, and have three picks in one race  :? :o :D :D :D :

5.45 Bath

KATAR ~ 20/1 EW NAP...... strange choice for nap, as is zero from thirty runnes    Still, has ran a few decentte races over various iterations of Bath's 5f trippe/s..... has a good low draw, and has gone close enough with the few goes he's hadde at around and about the 5f trip, on good or better going..... decent claimer atop in Connor Planas.... hasn't even come close to even placingge, tho, in any of his seven races this year,,,,

...... will excuse most/all of those runs for reasons various: - soft groundde, AW runs, inexperiencedde jockeys beingge ye main ones.... None of those races (this year) were Classified jobs like this one, plus horse is only 4yo <potential to improve> ..... not w/o squeak.... don't know aboutte out and out soft going as has floppedde twice this year on ground describedde as soft or worse..... Good to soft shouldde be okayye... bit to take on trustte nonetheless.....

MINTANA ~ 6/1 WIN...... hadde a race at the course lastte July, and in a 'shorter' 5f race   came 4th then staying on at the endde underre Mollie Phillips..... aint got a great draw in box elevenne methinkes..... William Cox takes ride here..... he's only ridden this horse once before, and that saw Mintana finish 4th in that 19th Feb race at Wolves.... worth a go at prices...

WE'RE REUNITED ~ 8/1 WIN...... three of four of his wins have been at the course - with two of them Course & Distance ones,.... of those two CD wins, one were on good to firm going & t'otherre on Firm going..... he's also won twice in monthhe of June..... Good enuffe to merit inclusion here

leave off on a/c ye @GoingConcernes

22:39 05/06...... #SaveDraffte

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

17:54 todayye : 06/June

ok, time for ye pickes....

...... some are a lotte shorterre than what's in ye paperre :( will leave some off.... We're Reunited & Mintana are 4/1 & 9/2 for ye 5,45 Bath: am no botheringge with themme..... at Goodwood Islanova is only 2s. price gives her boot an' alle.

.........................

VERDIKT: 6.05 Goodwood LAWN RANGER 18/1 €2 WIN + €3 EW

6.35 Goodwood WELLBORN 8/1 €4 EW

5.45 Bath KATAR 33/1 €5 EW NAP

thatte alle,

no joy todayye, just one placer with Wellborn..

one more race looks interesting...

in 8,38 Haydock, am tekkin on jplly, Old Cock, in hope he might be vulnerable over extra 2fs than what he won over lto at Ayr...

... will go €5 WIN on NORMANDY LEGEND 16s here.... 1st go in hcap, and 1st go on turf on Good ground -afterre 2 spins on Soft o'er a mile, as well as his secondde run being on ye AW also over a mile...

noggin tells me he's gotte chance on ye breedingge angle: the Sea The Stars influence might see him fare well at this mid-distance trippe of ~1m 2f

thatte alle i gots,

gl

nowt lately.

not expectingge thatte to change with this pick as has nowtte really to recommend on formbook, but will do usse, anyroaddde :D :D

Tues, 11th June

Wetherby - Good

( (EDIT - forgotte 2 putte racetime in    )) . 8.30 Wetherby

Marching Mac ~11/4.... this one triedde to mekk all lto on hcap debut.... that were at Brighton ova the almostte 7f trippe, but got nabbedde late on.. can't be ruledde out, obvs, but suspicion is summat simla will happen here over this slightly stiffer Wetherby 7f trip (might take a bit more getting - vulnerable to closer, methinks, if horse tries to lead).... mebbe back to lay in-runningge or summatte

Berry Clever ~ 5/2... harder to rule this one outte.... has ran over 6fs and a mile on turf in lastte three races.... was staying on well into third lto over 6fs at Newmarket... that would give this one claims of sorts i spose... anyway, it's one what has hadde enough chances, and been ridden close to pace/just off the pace/heldde up in rear, etc; and narys the winne... might come placdeddde, might win, but not for me

the restte of them is harddde enoughhe to make any solidde case for - at leastte for me

anyhowwe, the pick:

LOCOMOTIVE ~ 33/1.... Yep, this one's three runs so far have all been mediocre or poor... 1st time in hcap though.,,,,,. Was a fast paced 6f race when this one was beaten over 20lgths at Nottingham over 6f trip lto... being restless in stalls didn't help this one's cause thatte day; and not much must've been expectedde as was bigge drifterre in markette - as he was in two runs previous....

.... only hope i can gi'e this one is by goingge on ye breedingge angle, as well as it being his first go at the 7furlongges trip.... looks to have pace on sire's side, and Sir Percy -pour le stamina- on dam's side... not much of an angle, but this <current> outsider of twelve will do me pour la morrow....

verdikto: LOCOMOTIVE 28/1 €2 EW

thatte alle,

gl

Market Rasen - Good

3,15

VIVID PINK ~ 8/1 .... go a couple yoyo each weighhe on this onne... a 2nd over CD last yr, tho it were in a bumper.... improving all the time over hurdles.... decent 2nd lto under similar conditions at Huntingdon.... that was first go in hcap... time of that Huntingdon race weren't great mind... all t'same, methinkkes this is open race and pick is more a 6/1 shot so bitta value...

that race was Vivid Pink's first time tracking pace; normally she'd be heldde up.... ones behinnde her that day have done nowt to frank t'form, but the winner of that race, Skelton's Mostly Sunny, hackedde up lto at Southwell on his only runne since that 21 May Huntingdon win...

= green shootes enoughhe :D :D

verdikt: VIVID PINK 8/1 €2 WIN = €2 EW

thatte alle,
