plenty here what can easily have cases made for them; looks wide open this with manys a course and distance winner in lineup

BEAUEN ARROWS 25/1 EW is well drawn in one. hard to make a solid case, but he's previously come third over track and trip, in one of his six races to date

off the track for ~200days, don't have great form, bit to find on clock, and staying looks dubious. plenty to like so altho he did run a good second on his first ever start as a 2yo when tackling 6fs at the course, so looks as tho he goes well fresh

field looks poor enough, apart from favourite. not many have these have won a race at all. the favourite should take all the beating, but 8/11 fav Roger Rarebit's 1,3,2,2 form figures from his last four races have all come on soft/softish/heavy going. looks untested on good going, so might chance win lay @ just shy of evs , and 3/4 plce-lays @ ~ 2/9 & ~ 1/6

for no particular reason/s pen landed on two big-priced ones here, and i'll do em each way

markedly on the drift for some reason - maybe he aint ate his oats this morn ? all his six or so wins have come on mainly good ground, and in or around 2miles, which is what he's racing on/over today

at a loss to the drift, but is a very good price

if lack of oats eating aint problem, maybe folk think he'll be too far back on a track what tends to favour frontrunners/prominent types; and the gambled on Rooster Cogburn and Ardmayle are likely to make this a test

first-time cheekpiece sporting Billingsley ~9/2 looks like he might prefer softer going - rather be against,, has each way claims nonetheless

whatever value Rooster Cogburn ~7/2 was, it's now gone imo.. should like the good ground, but possible competition for the lead has to be a niggling concern

Starvoski ~5/2 almost won way back in March '21 at Sandown on good ground over ~2m,, has mainly been chasing since then, and all of her ~half dozen runs since then have been on softer going,, that Sandown race on good ground was a hurdles' race, so i aint seeing the angle here; but something has to be favourite, plus Starvoski is relatively young at 8yrs old in a race where all the other seven contenders here (bar Broadoak) are all at least 10yrs old

looking at ARDMAYLE 6/1 here, and he might have a chance if he lies just behind the leader,, no point going overboard with picks here, so i'll go WIN on this one in hope. worth an each way bet if 7/1 or bigger can be got, imo

both picks are biggish prices, and have chances, so i'll chance reverse forecast also on Ardmayle and Court Royale

fekkit, Ardmayle only goes and wins today (2.05) from the front @ 15/2 FFS , didn't think he'd like the good going today

5.30 CAPSTAN 16/1 EW . pulled from a hurdles' race on Monday - after seeing a lil support. came 2nd on first ever start last year; over 10fs at Newcastle, but hopeful pick nonetheless. the upped in trip ~4/7 fav Mr Inspiration is hardly bombproof here. don't think Polemon ~4/1 2nd fav, should be multiples of the price of the favourite here. just the one pick for this tho

only guessing, but I don't think this race'll be won in recorde time

the ~15/8 fav Big Jimbo is capable of winning at the ~1.5m (~12fs) trip, and can also go very close over this(tonight's) ~1m3f (11fs) trip. am thinking that (if he's held up) the line'll come too quick for G Moore's topweight; and if he decides to go on, he could be vulnerable here, as has a wide draw to ovecome

anyroad, have chanced 3-place lay @ ~ 2/5 & 4-place lay @ ~ 3/10

SNIPE 3/1 WIN . Snipe was going well lto before falling; was previously third in a Class2 when making running. might have to do so tomorrow as well, as no out and out leaders in this, it would seem. 3s looks a decent price - can possibly go off at under 2/1 imo

the ~4/7 jolly Shomen Uchi would surely prefer more cut in the ground than the current Good to soft going; but that don't mean he can't go well here. might try a win lay @ ~ 8/11 or shorter on the morrow
