Fair play to ya mate for putting up your selections.
Will have a glance now see if I fancy any today myself.
In the mood for watching racing and a few cold ones.

Mediocre enough up to now.... About 2 winners (at lowish prices) and 4 or 5 placers (also low prices )

But RAIN CAP just wins 3.20 by making all at 18s , so things looking up :)

A poor day today. Not enough of the short priced ones ran as well as I'd hoped, so about a 25% loss going win only , which is expected most days, although not hoped for  Even worse if most were done ew, as not many at all came placed :(

Probably be a few days before I find as many as today. Whether that's good or bad, well :D I have, however, found one that might go well tomorrow eve, that's currently a very fair price.

WEDNESDAY AUGUST 25

Wolverhampton 6.05 HOT HOT HOT 8/1 generally

A very poor race this; it being a 'Classified Stakes' Class 6, so probably about the lowest quality race there can be. It can be expected that most of these are not guaranteed to replicate, or improve on recent runs, being that they are that inconsistent. In the selection's favour - she's only 4, has won twice at the course over the minimum 5f trip, and has 'appeared' that the 6f trip at the course (which she has yet to attempt) might be within her compasss. Her form elsewhere has been pretty poor, and she didn't even seem to stay the bare 5fs lto at Chepstow. That race, however, was on softish ground, and she chased the pace.

Hot Hot Hot can go well on the Tapeta surface, provided she is held up, methinks. Either way, I would think that on the face of it that she's closer to a 4/1 shot than the 8s available. Her trainer Tony Carroll has been among the winners lately, so, it bodes well on that score also. Worth a win or an ew bet this one, or maybe win and ew even. I don't think much of the David Evans' 15/8 fav Manumission, at least not at that price, so there's no 'singular' danger to the selection afai concerned. And if Thaki merits 2nd favourite position at 7/2, a punter would be entitled to feel confident regardless what s/he plumps for in this Mickey Mouse affair.. If Hot Hot Hot manages to get settled towards the back close to the rails early, then she's the one to beat, in my humble...

Think I'll leave it at that.. At least I've given this one a write-up :D Easy enough with only one pick :P

Saturday 11 Sept

3.50 Chester Lihou 10/1 ew NAP
A C & D winner with sound each way claims. Goes on all kinds of ground (is softish today - good to soft (soft in places) is the going description atm) , and can run a hold up race; which he will presumably need to do, being as he is drawn high in the 10 stall. Is back into a Class three today, and looks fairly handicapped. Ran in Class 2s the last twice - the most recent of which was a respectable 2nd over a furlong shorter. Has plenty of placed form lately, and is not out of this.

5.20 Lingfield Clegane 4/1 ew
She ran a good race over 7f 2 runs back at the course. Hasn't tackled a mile very often, but I will hope she stays, and a bold showing can be expected today.

6.25 Lingfield Aramis Grey 5/2 win
Ticks a lot of boxes, and has been well supported. Looks a game filly on form, and unlikely she'll be found wanting in a finish. Only 5 in this, and it may be tactical, but this one has more than one way of running, so gets the nod.

3.30 Musselburgh Bawaader 11/1 ew NB
Has only won once out of 21 attempts, but this grey is rarely far away when racing over a mile on turf. Has very good place claims at least.

4.00 Musselburgh Geometra Ginty 7/2 ew
Knows how to win, and makes more appeal at the prices than the favourite Oso Rapido.

5.40 Musselburgh Koropick 16/1 ew
A good 2nd over course and distance 2 runs back. Just two places, and is a hopeful pick here, as the trainer is a long time on the cold list.

These will do for a interest of a Saturday. I would have Lihou as the pick, but the rest aren't priced very generously. Best of luck to punters, and to Mayo as well :)

Very hard to find out much about him. Not much surprise given he's not a very high profile trainer
He has one out tomorrow in the 3.23 Worcester (Druim Samhraidh) https://www.irishracing.com/card?race=W ... 2110071523

Very strange, as he mustn't be banned? (yet, at least) , and just as strange is his horse being a nr in 3 out of its last 4 targets, and who finished pulled up in the other :?

Maybe Luke or Fitzy or Moore or Apiafi will let punters know what the story is.. Wouldn't count on it tho... Might go as far as 'alluding to recent tribulations' :D

today's selection

4.45 Kempton Corinthian Kid 9/1

Will go each way on Johnny Portman's filly and the topweight for this Class 5 2-y-o Nursery. She's got just as good form figures as the rest, is well drawn in box three for a type who likes to race prominently, and she has also got form from racing on a similar surface - when coming third at Lingfield in July.

I did, ya - bout half hour before the off :)

money must've come late, altho tbf the horse did drift massive from morning price of 5 to 1ish, so was entitled to shorten a bit. plenty of 10 & 11 to one on offer during the show, but was nibbled on before the off

hope a few were on :)
