Fake or Fortune BBC series

Post by Del.Monte »

Not having watched much television in the 21st Century (apart from news and rugby) I had not seen this excellent series until today when a friend mentioned it in passing. Wow, just so refreshing after the Antiques Roadshow, Cash in the Attic etc., and how well researched and clearly presented - even I could follow it! I hopped on the first episode that I came across on YouTube - L S Lowry, the North of England artist famous for his "matchstick" figures - and the story of three paintings with little physical provenance. Everybody from art experts, gallery owners, scientists and even a convicted forger of the artist's work featured. See what you make of it.
