Leather repair?

#1

Post by Hairy-Joe »

I've two small (2 to 3 cm) cracks in the (p)leather on the driver's seat. Does anyone know any tips for a proper repair or someone in Cork who would be able to repair?

I'd rather not stick duct tape or something equally naff on the cracks.

I think there are leather repair kits available. These consist of an adhesive thats coloured to suit, and materals to texture the repair as well.
I have seen repairers on donedeal, and any upholstery repairer should be able to do it. I have also seen ads for upholstery callout repairs on the like sof donedeal, adverts, facebook ect.

Thanks. I've got some looking to do.

Most of the leather repair kits I found (after a very brief Google) were more for worm patches. I've two cracks which are possibly caused by me forgetting to take off the work ID off the belt....
