No lad, Glasnevin industrial estate. Cameron cars, they always have some fantastic stuff. If I'm in the area I'll purposely detour to pass them.

Ah okay man. I know a man that has a business up in walkinstown with a similar name and he's mad into his vintage stuff.

I'm currently in Spain and I've seen quite a few old motors in regular service. A few Peugeot 205, a Seat copy of the Fiat Panda, mk1 Clio and a few Kadetts.

I'm going to ignore the Seat copy of the Fiat 131 I saw Sunday as that was obviously a cherished classic rather than a daily.....

Strangely, the mk1 Clio is the first car I remember seeing with electric windows.

I remember my uncle had a few Renault 4s. I was just a child but I still remember my mother driving it to the shop with my grandfather in charge of changing gears. Myself and brother would be in the back and we could see the road beneath us due to a rust hole in the floor. :D

I just spotted a Ford Orion 1.6 Ghia drive past me here in Baeza, Spain. There was plenty ladders strapped to the roof and looked rough as a badgers arse.

Jeez going off the beaten track a bit in Spain can unearth plenty old cars 20 to 30 years old rattling away in daily service.

Tis a Nissan figaro Seany. Started out as a copy of older classics such as a jag and based on a micra, but have since become sought after in their own right. There were about 5 versions, I think your one is a peugeot copy. Hang on a sec, got a photo of one today.

I used to hate them Frank, i suppose a bit of classic snobbery at the time, but they've grown on me. I particularly like the one based on a French Jeep type thing, it's called a Pau. I know of one guy who deals in them exclusively.

I must say in a weirdly perversely sort of way, I liked them Micra derived Pau, Figaro, etc.

Yes I will make an appointment with the local opticians....

I've done a bit of digging, and it turns out that there were only three vehicles in that figaro group, the Pau, the Figaro and the S-cargo. The jag based Micra was a different company, Mitsuoka, and the model is a Viewt. They're all fetching massive money now.

My own out for a spin the weekend. It was refused entry to a recent VW show because I was 5 minutes after they closed the field gate. Insurance says "NO"

I had the opposite problem. I remember a few years ago taking the MK2 Escort out for a Sunday run. I happened to pass the field where a local car show was on. I had a member of the organising committee waving me into the field and got annoyed when I wouldn't enter.
