I'm thinking that some of them are quite old and look like they could be in regularish service. Here all we want is the latest shiny plate on something, anything.....

Yep and another one of the big reasons is they don't have price gouging insurance companies or as big payouts from compo culture to nearly the same degree as here. It's much cheaper to run an older car in most of Europe.

No pic at the moment but one of my mates drives a 1965 Cadillac something or other. He be always around town (Waterford) in it. I'll get a pic next time I call to him. It's lovely.

I remember years ago my neighbouring farmer drove a Citroen CX into my father's yard for myself and brother to drive around in. It was the coolest thing we ever saw at the time watching the suspension in the back rising up. I can't for the life of me remember what became of it..
