Irish Rail - Myth and Reality
Lots to come under this topic but I'll start by alerting you that Barry Kenny, Irish Rail's version of Lord Haw Haw, will be on Newstalk's 'Lunchtime Live' after 1pm - always good for a laugh.

Re: Irish Rail - Myth and Reality
Way ahead of him but in Barry's case it's because he is completely clueless although he has improved in recent times. He must have picked up some lessons in the couple of weeks he worked for Ryanair.
Sadly Andrea Gilligan will make the segment all about here and her train trips to Sligo on her way to Donegal. Car must be off the road. There will probably be the usual call from somebody demanding IE reopen the railway to Ballydehob and the 45a bus being late.

Re: Irish Rail - Myth and Reality
Damn, segment overlaps with Joe Guffy.
Basically it's the 'All Ireland Rail Review' as Andrea rushed all contributors along ....Mullingar woman rings in complaining about no rail link between there and Athlone - Barry: we have a greenway there.
Why isn't Mullingar/Athlone reopened - cost, 'All Ireland Rail Review' waffle, waffle; loon from West on wanting a spur to Knock Airport.
Heuston station is cold to wait in...Lol; Security is improving on trains; DART passenger wanted to know why trains are always late; another caller wanted to know why the 700 new DART carriages won't have opening windows; catering why is there none since Covid - because you're not allowed to remove your mask but no answer as to why people bringing their own food can take their masks off.
Wafffle, waffle, waffle, waffle, waffle, waffle, waffle,......................

Maybe poor Barry wouldn't make such a good "peep show". J( if you know your history on William Joyce)
