Tale about coffins reappearing in a Howth graveyard and man's parents coffins being exposed. 'Could you see the bodies ?' says our host, and the end of the piece Joe says 'That's a lovely story' ....the man is sick.

Stole this from Butters (who used to post here) from his post in the other place.

Now he's rambling on about some bunker under the Ministry of Defence in London - why doesn't he get someone on from the Government here and ask about the 'secret' bunker for the good and the great under the Costume Barracks in Athlone. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Custume_Barracks

The radio was on and I was listening to Radio 1 for the news. I just heard the "noise" starting at 13.45 so switched it off.

Bliss......

I just found out that Joe Duffy (not the Liveline official account but a blue check personal account for Joe Duffy, so I presume it's him(?)) follows me on Twitter 😂😂☺️ I will hit the follow back button. I think this is as close to famous as I have gotten...well, recently! 😛
Thinking out loud, and trying to be occasionally less wrong...

Unbelievable story about an eejit who stashes £2,500 in a suitcase and then donates it to a charity shop. He rings Katie and explains how to find the money to whoever bought the case.

Now there's a religious (?) loon on complaining about TV presenters and the way they stand.

All in the best possible taste.

I'm seriously checking the date to make sure it's not April 1st

In fairness a good majority of the LL Target audience (~75%) couldn't differentiate between April fool tales and any other stories.

So typical, Katie lets a clueless gobshite go on and on, as a spokesman for people who voted for Brexit as it suits their (RTE) agenda. He mentions Enoch Powell as one of his heroes (I think he initially referred to him as Edith Powell!). Guy is a moron and should not be still on air.

Dear god, even Duffy would be proud of Katie for dragging the arse out of the dopey "Karen" topic - a whole show of complete shite.

Even broadcast on 252 long wave.
What's the song and dance about rte rebuilding the longwave transmitter anyway?

Unbelievable story about an Irish Rail security person taking a bottle of wine from pensioners on a train from Heuston to Westport - it would be unbelievable except that it's CIE. What a shambles and how typical coming from a company that can't even manage to organise any catering on any train until 2023 at the earliest.

Illicit alcohol, a 70 year old birthday party, vegan sausage rolls and an irish rail security guard. What could possibly go wrong.

It's perfect material for an RTÉ movie production.
Bonus for rte: arena radio program can milk it to death for being an Irish production.

Katie sounds like a person who hasn't taken the train in decades - if ever.

And from her own mouth she has confirmed the above suspicion.

Are RTE not capable of getting a CIE spokesman onto the programme?
