One of the few programmes on RTE that leaves me wanting more. BBC Orla Guerin style reporting from around the world but never enough of it and really what sort of a show is it that can't even fill a full half hour programme once a week? It is promoted as being on from 8am-8.30am but given that it follows the 8am News and almost always finishes before 8.30am...

Today 'World Report' started at 8.12 and ended at 8.26 - just fourteen minutes!

Re: RTE 'World Report'
This morning the programme stretched to an incredible 14 mins and 56 seconds and was really boring - a piece on the French book trade being the high (?) point.

Also about Irish book shops how they became successful social meeting points during the pandemic. Also, very positive upbeat tone.

I’d like to see them cover what’s happening with the Dutch farmers.
“ The honest message ... is that not all farmers can continue their business,” and those who do will likely have to farm differently, the government said in a statement this month as it unveiled emission reduction targets. bastards.

If planks is anything to go by then RTE won’t be reporting on this story, opting instead for the ‘it’s all in your head as part of a conspiracy’ angle.

Re: RTE 'World Report'
This morning's programme stretched to an incredible 15 minutes - can't even remember the first item; the second a report on tensions in Serbia and the third, and final piece, a bizarre report on some girl dancing or singing in darkest Africa. Someone in RTE needs to take a decision on this nonsense and either bin it or turn it into something worthwhile.
