Bowman: Sunday 8.30

Surprised I haven't already started a thread about this programme as it is one of my staples on a Sunday morning. This morning was especially interesting as it contained a segment about the Harcourt Street railway line and the late Brian Mac Aongusa former head of RTE Radio and railway enthusiast. https://www.rte.ie/radio/radio1/bowman-sunday-830/ It will be available to listen back to. John Bowman is one of the best presenters on RTE by a country mile and has never looked back since interviewing me back in the mid-1990s.

A excellent presenter. He was on the panel for RTE's Biden coverage and was the only one not fawning over Biden

Del, I happily suggest you take some of the medicine I take. This is "Take me to your dealer" moment
Go on to YouTube and check out the range of UK Livestreams broadcast by model railway channels over there like Anfield model railway, Barnabas junction. I've been made a "Moderator" status on some of these channels by the owner: you'll be made one too when the owner finds out your passion in the thing

Saw that, he came across very well. I was surprised to see him as I assumed he was retired. He's in his 80s!

An interesting dip into the archives this morning with a few interviews with canal boatmen that worked the Grand Canal in the early 20th century. Only complaint was that the segment was way too short. Starts at 16.30
