The number of posts has reduced because a couple of mentally ill oddballs are no longer allowed post there. The forum is far better than it was a month ago.

Dragon and Buttersuki aren’t the same person. Dragon had a very disturbing obsession with Tubridy, but Buttersuki is now back as nonetheless. It’s the constant need to talk about themself that makes this apparent. All complete weirdos. That RoTelly gimp as well. Sort of lad who writes letters to production managers of shows and submits FoI requests for utterly banal matters.

Lot of anoraks, antidepressants and abandonment there.

What's the deal with that tinytobe guy and his obsession with the DAB transmission platform ? I can't figure out if he's a real person or some sort of chat GDP type program :?:

There are still some posters on the Radio forum who are just genuinely interested in radio, including some anoraks. I think Tinytobe is a genuine poster by the way. Various views have been expressed about DAB and they happen to be one of those posters. Some of Tinytobe's posts can be quite informative. It is unfortunate that there are some posters who get too personal, but you are always going to get that to some extent on internet forums.

Still makes me chuckle about how I was instrumental in destroying that forum, and especially the Tubridy thread. BBOC and Leg End are two proper thick cúnts. Can’t believe they fell for my excellent trolling and fake email of complaint pretending to be Noel Kelly!

Nah, they weren’t. Still there. A hit and a miss there, amigo.

Can’t believe they fell for it tbh. Wouldn’t have gotten away with it in Beasty’s time.

Back in 2019, when RTE announced that Larry Gogan was "moving from 2fm to RTE Gold", it was extremely obvious to me that Larry was on deaths door and that RTE wanted to hold a big party for him while he was still around to see it, but what amazed me was that 99% of boards radio forum users couldn't read between the lines.

That's a tradition in broadcasting circles.
Whenever I heard of a 'lifetime achievement' party or award or somesuch, I fully expected an announcement they were on the way to the crem sometime in the next while.

Howya Phil, one distinctly remembers a disheveled Brian Cowen impersonating Mr. Walton at a FF shindig in Galway and making a sheer ass of himself on national radio the following morning. Which is "par" for the course of our political betters, recently Michael Lowry "I merely borrowed a million pound off Dinny O'Brien" hoisting two fingers to the Irish electorate. Here comes 'Truthslayer' in a pathetic attempt to redeem the pathetic shower of wasters occupying the Dáil at present. No governance since November, their pay should be suspended until the grownups in the room display initiative. Ireland has become a shameless basket case, FG the worst exponents and their slimy leeches in the media selling their collective souls to the highest bidder. A shower of morally bankrupt chancers.

What a strange account. Almost certainly one of the mentally ill regulars who used to terrorise the Tubs thread. Very maladaptive behaviour. Like those lads who ring the emergency services thousands of times or stalk women. You’d hope they have family who might stage an intervention for them.

Il never understand people talking about people on the radio, seems a pure wasted exercise

Why all the hate? Some people have an interest in this technology and don't want to see our own media all handed over to American streaming services.

Those DAB and bandscan lads are grand. Proper anoraks and the odd fantasist who imagines having his own show on some station with about 50 listeners. Same sort of class of person as a trainspotter or those lads who play role playing games in those shops in town. Could be up to worse.

Can’t believe the Emmetspiceland account on instagram made it so obvious who he is. What a total weirdo. Runs the bigbagofcans account over there as well. Could get done for stalking tbh. A few tiles loose on that roof you’d imagine. Tragic stuff.

Another favourite of the boards.ie regulars is saying that "Today FM used to be great but is gone to the dogs recently" the only thing is that they've been saying that since about 2007.

Butters isn’t Dragon. Dragon is some other lunatic. Don’t know which one of them runs the increasingly disturbing emmetspiceland account on instagram. Very weird. I’d say there’s some sort of obscure mental illness present. Bunny boiler territory. Awful way to go through life.

I see that emmetspiceland account on instagram is implying I ran the Bobson account on Boards. Very wrong.

I do hope whoever runs that account gets urgent mental health care. They must surely realise that their anger, obsessive behaviour and disturbing stalking is not normal behaviour. Like it’s sad and weird. Please go and get some help. You probably didn’t make it the radio/media industry. That happens. People don’t always succeed in what they want to do/have a passion for. It doesn’t mean you have to act like some oddball on the internet. What a waste of a life. Tragic.

Your cry for attention is actually a cry for help. I genuinely feel sorry for you.

Said page seems to have 55 followers which means it is of very limited interest to the Irish population.
Complaining bitterly about something feck all pepole knew or cared about and thereby advertising is a bit unwise.
"Barbra Streisand effect" comes to mind.
Don't get me wrong I don't care.
