Turned it on for a moment todsay. About trekking to a mount in Wicklow by a pair of women. ....... More rambling than anything about the foliage and vegetation and getting themselves out of bed and down the M50 for the trip...... Sounded like an English Essay.... Click

Just caught the complete last spiel. Mmmmm. Very strange. About children at Christmases past, the martydom of the innocents and one little girl who had been blown up in Afghanistan, and the bloody outcome explained in detail. Will there be complaints to RTE about that later I wonder?

listened to a segment anbout farming sheep. Music. Now a segment about food, rice, butter. stickiness. Ugh. Why the feck is there is a fixation with the mentioning of food in stories, in Irish English lierature?? Pilfering "dogs". ..."...Delicious..." - yes, a particular morning talkshow presenter uses his word a lot too in superlative sense.

I switched off, can't stand anymore

This morning, the first narrative was about a young evening herald reporter interviewing John Wayne in the Gresham Hotel in 1974. Then music.
Then the obligatory honours english leaving cert piece about someone's mothers' hard life. turned off after 30 seconds into this dirge. Good to listen t the piece on "The Duke" though.

Today's show had narratives about Soviet women driving the farm tractors and another tale about Life in Kyev in 1985 when a Soviet apparatchik was ruling. Russian themed music segments too.

Dreadful muck this morning with some rambling story about getting the bus to Dun Laoghaire and an even more boring tale of some woman travelling by train to Cork with a vital dispatch to do with the 1916 Rising. Followed by an excruciating piece of hi diddley music which sounded like the CD player was stuck...radio off.

Listened a bit as well. Pretty much.Story about just catching train to Cork would be better if she missed it and had to get a motor coach all the way to Dublin

^^ I mean, if she had missed the train, the story could turn into something cool like 'Mission Impossible' story. I should become a writer for Sunday Miscellany.
I'd have to come out with superlatives at random and out of context, "BEAUTIFUL, GORGEOUS, DELICIOUS...." etc

Reminiscences from a former member of the elitist Arts Council - mainly concerned with the availability of drink during meetings. Followed by some teacher rambling and then some indescribable 'music' which sounded like it was being played on a wavin pipe. Piece about Dev......and off with the radio.....

Just switched back on and heard the whole programme was to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Arts Council - and the first piece was by unreadable author John Banville so no wonder I didn't get it.

Turned on today to listen to a spiel about some endurance race in November 1987. It could have been more informative, but as always, the literal prosaic style trumped the record of the occasion.
It seemed to be more about a certain individual.

Today, a Miserable sounding dirge from a Chello / Viola which could be aptly entitled "Prepare your own customized Recipe for your Suicide".
A cursory piece on Joyce. Crunch of the gears with the previous music piece!

Very poor again this morning. Wandering old crap.....self indulgent art drivel; Sean McBride; the escape of some IRA heroes from Sligo prison; and hiding under the table with Grandma when the bomb drops. Dreadful muck - noted some poor editing too. Does nobody screen the stuff before it's broadcast, it's like 'Quick Silver' and the un-screened contestants.

The way the continuity presenter announced The Sunday Miscellany program this norning was like how the program might be announced on Radio in 1975.
