I would like for a moment to feel again as hopeful, innocent and good as I was in the days when I used to rush in to the sitting room on a Saturday morning to the strains of Tammy's in Love. With my brothers rushing past me in the opposite direction in disgust.
Thinking out loud, and trying to be occasionally less wrong...

Series 1-10 of Grange Hill have made it to DVD. That covers 1978-1987 so has Zammo’s drug hell.

The Clangers and, at a pinch, The Magic Roundabout - cartoons have come a long way since those days.

Rimini Riddle
The Girl from Tomorrow
Dr Snuggles
The Raccoons
The Smoggies
Wurzel Gummidge
Woof
Prince Valiant
The Labyrinth

There's another show that I can't fully remember and I may have dreamt it. A girl on a boat, the English country side, a lovely cottage, dancing around a May pole, possibly a talking animal.

Didn't realise until now that all of these Puppet shows I watched as a kid, were all created by the same production company. Not sure if I'd bother to watch them again but they did have great theme tunes.

I was truly terrified of the Mysterons in Captain Scarlet.

Not sure if you'd class it as a kids show. But The Man From UNCLE was great fun
