RTE 6.1 News on annual holiday mode!

Yep, its that time of year again! It's high summer (allegedly!), the Dail is in recess and the RTE news team are once again on short-time till September comes around. So, as all the years previously, they dust off that old reliable, Reeling in the Years, and throw it on for the half hour, 6.30 - 7.00pm. Dosn't matter if there's huge breaking news, all we'll get is the condensed half hour of 6.1. Sure, who'll notice anyway! Although, ironically, maybe the shortened news could become the default, might make more sense.
RTE are indeed a tired little nest, full of nepotism and cronyism.

Nearly 3 million down on licence payments in July! Maybe RTÉ should just go on Summer mode full-time!!!

So, with further big revenue loss to RTE in early August, will this mean the courts will be full of non-payers in the not so distant future?
