Watched this last night and thought it was worth a few words.
Liked it but didn't love it. The casting was great but some of the green screen CGI effects were a bit too obvious. I'm your man for carefully made and filmed models anyday.
IMDB has it as a 7.5 atm but I'd give it a 7, the problem is I was somehow expecting more. Having seen all the other bond films numerous times I was left feeling "get on with it" a lot of the time. Ana de Armas sort of comes in as a cameo roll. What woman that looks that good but doesn't sleep with bond?
In the other thread about James Bond films I mentioned the double entendres but they are few and far between here. So again for me a little too much of a departure from the other films.
Maybe I don't understand wokeness but it seems to be the male anguise of James Bond resolve his womanising is another reason I was slightly put off by the film. Although I could easily have got that all wrong.
Think it all boils down to Bond not being what I expect of the James Bond character.

Re: No Time To Die
I watched it a few nights ago. I love Daniel Craig and his interpretation of Bond. No Time to Die was only grand. Each character did a good job and I really liked Madeleine Swann but the story itself wasn't....I dunno.... enough. It's the last of the Daniel Craig versions so I expected more. I don't want to spoiler anything. If you're a fan you'll enjoy it anyway I think.
Skyfall and Casino Royale are my favourites and this was far far less superior.

Billie Eilish with the worst Bond song ever, what where they thinking, as for the movie, weak story with a weak villain, its will be forgotten about and not brought up in conversation about Bond ever again.
With the road this movie set the franchise on I would bet money the next Bond will be black and bisexual at the very least.

They’ve kinda done the bisexual thing in Spectre.

Re: No Time To Die
Myself and SonNo.1 settled down to watch it the other evening (first viewing, having avoided all spoilers up to then). We'd just had a discussion about the latest incarnation of The Doctor (who? ) and how wokeness was infecting all the classics. Suffice to say, we each nearly fell out of our comfortable armchairs with faux astonishment when the new 007 appeared on screen.PlaneSpeeking wrote: ↑Fri Dec 31, 2021 1:50 pm They’ve kinda done the bisexual thing in Spectre.
