Favorite Farming Youtubers
I have been watching back through the videos of "IFarm WeFarm" on youtube. The guy who runs it, Adrian, is a dairy farmer in Cavan. Have to say I'm really enjoying it, he clearly takes pride in his work.

My grandfather grew up on a farm but never farmed himself so I am a couple of generations removed from farming at this point and know little about it. But I have very much enjoyed learning about farming, particularly farming in Ireland. Are there any Irish beef or arable farmers on Youtube along the same lines as Adrian? Would like to learn about other types of farming, no longer need I wallow in ignorance when dealing with farmers in my professional and social life, which I regularly do.

I've been watching Christina Holm's channel there about farming in Sweden. I like that there's no music when looking at various harvesting videos... just the sound of the harvesters and tractors. There's also some sections on older tractors doing ploughing with straight ploughs.

LaRosh Wheat Harvest 2016. Love the scenery and music. Plus it's got combines Few corny moments, forgive the pun.

Very good Jimmy. Reminds me of this video from Megadeth about a lad stealing a tank somewhere in the States after losing the plotJimmy Bottlehead wrote: ↑Mon Sep 13, 2021 10:45 pm Not only one of my favourite Youtubers, but he's Irish too. G'man, Qxir.

Another classic oldie - unfortunately american but at least the tractor remained the same.

Deutz DX air cooled. I love Deutz tractors, some power in them. We had two of them here years ago, DX 85 and a 610. Only problem with them was the brakes... the calipers would seize on them..

A Deutz DX6.50 being dyno'd.
A Fiat 160/90 being dyno'd. Lovely whistle out of it.

Need a pint after watching this video. Hop harvesting. I was nearly looking to grow hops myself as a side project at one stage but looked at the labour involved and wisely bowed out of that venture

The making of Sorghum Syrup / Molasses. I'd love to visit this place.
Re: Favorite Farming Youtubers
This guy has some good American tillage vids, big fields, big machines. This caught my eye though, in Montana there is a practice of saving large amounts of hay in large hay stacks. These are a much bigger than the hay cocks you'd find here years ago. It looks nuts, but works.

This is another great video, harvesting wheat in Indiana. Also sowing soy beans the same day. Some operation. The kit for gathering and stacking the square bales is interesting. Couldn't have an operation like that here as the fields are too small.

That's not farming, that's industrial engineering!
This is farming. Any slope less than 45°could be describe as "flat".
