MOD NOTE: this is a chillout thread, the clue is in the title, if you want to have a row for the sake of it, I'm sure there are other more appropriate threads

This playlist captures that mid-90s new age Pure Moods / late night TV advert vibe.

I know it's The Proclaimers but this is by far their most popular song in Scotland -Sunshine on Leath. Leath is a subarb of Edinburgh.

Sunshine on Leath is to Hibs FC as Fields of Athenry is to Celtic. They even have the lyrics faintly printed on their jersey.

Here's the album version...

And here's the excellent renditions by Hibs supporters on winning the 2016 Scottish Cup Final...

Sunshine On Leith is my favourite Proclaimers track. But the album version drags ever so slightly. I prefer the shorter single mix which is what was mostly played on the radio at the time. It stalled at #41 on the UK charts.

Here’s the single mix

Nice voice. Reminds me of Lana del Ray.

Speaking of...

Here's a chilled tune she had out a while ago. It caused a bit of controversy as people said it was a rip off of Creep by Radiohead. Creep was said to be a rip off of The Air That I Breath by The Hollies and they had to credit them on the album after an out of court settlement.
