Earworms

Those annoying songs or jingles that get stuck in your brain for days on end and drive you half mad.
What earworm is currently burrowing its way through your ear canal? If you want to be really cruel you can post a video of it and infect other users too

There is an ad for hellmans mayonaisse with a stupid song that goes 'I turned nothing into something'. It is replaying in my head and annoying me for several days now

Torture territory... especially the end when it starts looping on We are Bold... imagine that going on for an hour in your head.

Another that springs to "ear" is the music much used on Benny Hill Show, Yakety Sax. There are loads of versions but I like this one

There is still one beep boop track that's going around my head that I can't track down, so I can confirm earworms that you can't put a name to are worse than those you can.

I was afraid of cross contamination and it turns out my fears were well founded. I have been humming this one all morning.

This thread could become an earworm colony, a superspreader :o

Its interesting to think what else is in the mind of anyone with an earworm.

I didn't need to play the Bold youtube video to replay the entire advert including throwing the thing in the washing machine.

Yakety Sax had me thinking of Benny Hill being chased by women in stockings and suspenders

This one has running on repeat in my brain for a couple of days

I don't really mind because before that I had some awful Black Lace songs stuck in my head and this ditty managed to banish them :)

The ending song track from Brendan O'cConnor radio show today. My brain is not the better of it after listening to it.

Another earworm but in 2022 they've extended the torture period.

Think I preferred Spar Ads when they were for things like marrowfat peas and used to feature a picture - usually of the local store manager - and a few seconds of voiceover,
