Storm Chasing
Storm Chasing
Oh sure lookit, may as well wonder if this will happen. I'll keep an eye out.
I have to laugh though, I often see people remark about storms "Oh, it will miss us, it will track north, only the northwest will get a blast". Are we not included in the "us" in Ireland? There's quite a lot of us over and up here. Why are we not considered part of Ireland?
Anyway some terrifying graphics. Every storm chasing thread needs those.

Re: Storm Chasing
PS this new storm, after Nigel which just avoided us, is called Ophelia

Re: Storm Chasing
Although if it gets here Hurricane Ophelia trans-forms (get it?) into Storm Ciarán.

Re: Storm Chasing
Still in uncertain territory. For now it looks worse in the south.
Meanwhile today was unusually windy and extremely rainy and no one warned me.

Re: Storm Chasing
It's going to be Storm Agnes. Looks like the south may get it. So now that it's not just NW affected, things are real again

Re: Storm Chasing
Agnes could turn into a very wet and extremely windy day on Wednesday, particularly for the South and East. Get all your loose garden stuff put away and beware if falling trees etc as most are still in full leaf. Be careful out there folks!
Re: Storm Chasing
If Agnes isn't here til tomorrow, then wtf is this BIBLICAL rainfall now?

Re: Storm Chasing
Plus I wholly agree with Sharon here. How the hell is this already brutally waterlogged encampment supposed to survive a storm? It's crazy. It's not fair.

The sign needs to go up - NO ROOM AT THE INN - this nonsense cannot go on indefinitely.
