Agree, September lovely month to get away. Throngs are gone as well. This and last year were the first times myself/OH did not get away in September. It's a good time too from farming pov, summer work is done and a bit of a lull before winter.

Very autumnal today. Lots of leaves blowing around but quite mild out.

20 degrees here in the NE for the last couple of days. Mild, almost balmy, but the evenings are gone, so time for hibernation on the way!

After a beautiful sunny morning, lots of rain now sweeping through Louth this evening. And with temperatures dropping and a wet week ahead that's it for this year I'm afraid. Time to get the fuel stocked and the winter woolies out!!

Another miserable evening in the Sunny South East - I had to go to the post office at 5 o'clock and it was just threatening but I got drowned on the way home. Heat on for the winter now. Heavy duvet to be retrieved from the dry cleaners tomorrow.

Wet, muggy day yesterday and today set to be the same until the early hours of tomorrow. At this rate I'll be bog snorkelling going on dog walk😠

A decent day in my area, finally got the lawn cut, probably for the last time this year.

It was cloudy to start and then it absolutely lashed down as I walked by the sea this morning in Donegal. But it was lovely. A good coat and waterproof trousers is all you need! The incoming waves being rained on is somehow very peaceful and soothing.

Weather is a bit damp over coming week I think.

It's been a pretty wet month in my area with plenty of rain in the past week. JohnstownII in Wexford has had 178.7mm rainfall so far, with the LTA being 122.1, roughly 1.5 times the LTA. source
