And still no rain in this neck of the woods (south of Dundalk), some 24 hours after a forecast of showers/thunderstorms was due to arrive!! Just shows you how variable a forecast prediction can be!

Rain at last!

It almost felt like winter at times lately with the cold and wet.

I live in Wexford and apart from the seven or eight days over the last two weeks 12deg has been pretty much the norm this year, in fact the summer temperatures have differed little from winter temperatures over the last couple of years.
Watching the weather forecasts it seems that the jet stream spends a lot of time to the south of Ireland now and the Atlantic depressions which would normally track up the west coast and settle between Iceland and Scotland are frequently travelling across or to the south of Ireland now and this turns the sunny South East into the soggy South East.
If this is what global warming means I'm getting rid of her car tomorrow. ;)

Bit of a nip in the air this evening here in NCD, feels like Autumn is starting to wake up from it's slumber..

Some more sun would be nice. Not splitting the stones like before but enough to chase off the grey, cold and damp.

Strange day here in Louth. Cloudy and cool with a little drizzle. Cool enough to turn the heating on for an hour, I kid you not! Yeah, I know its the first week of August ... and two weeks ago we were being slowly baked.

Some rain on the way home this evening but a great light show in the distance. The temp display on the car dropped 6° in about 5 minutes too.
