Rained overnight here in the 'Sunny' South East but still very humid. First roll of thunder in the distance a few minutes ago and raining again...

Enniscorthy didn't fare too badly - some rain but no flooding - unlike New Ross which is just 17 miles to the south west and which got a battering. It's still very humid here this morning.

This looks like a torrential downpour clip from somewhere in Asia or America - but it's actually New Ross yesterday!! Amazing!

Really good dry weather this last week here in the NE, but that's the end of it for the present, with plenty of rain coming from the west. But you never know, September might throw up a nice 4-5 days in a week or two.

Miserable in the 'Sunny' South East this morning but the rain is not heavy and the ground badly needs it.

Bright sunny day we've had, humid and warm. But the rain and wind the leaves are beginning to come down, my back garden has a lot already. Another summer over. They go SO fast!

A lot of rain has fallen so far this month here, 40mm so far according to my rain gauge, probably slightly inaccurate but it's still quite a lot. Just had an insane downpour about half an hour ago, still raining but not as heavy. The autumn really came in with a bang.

Literally a bang - or rather several bangs - here in this part of The Continent. It's been one thunderstorm after another for about ten days. Yesterday's delivered one continuous rumble that lasted at least half an hour with (quite literally) not even a one-second pause as the storm rolled over head. There was no rain at that point; it waited till afterwards, and then came at us sideways.

Tomorrow looks like it will be lovely. 20 degrees and a fair bit of bright sun At least over in the NW. I am going to be taking in as many of those lovely rays as I can, delighted to have them in September.

It's been really muggy recently, heavy weather, with some lovely occasional bursts of sunshine.

A beautiful day in my area, especially after all the rain, looks like the rain is back tomorrow though.

First true crispness I have felt in the early morning for a while. It looks like it will be a pleasant day, but Winter is coming, my friends.

Certainly hope so as yesterday was unpleasantly humid.

Miserable day in Enniscorthy today, chucking it down and quite cold. Looking forward to switching the heating on tomorrow - I have tried to be good but tomorrow is D Day and I can't hold out any longer.

Yiz in Cork might know where this is. We had the bad stuff yesterday in the NW. It bucketed down.

Stormy, wet, windy weather here in the NE, a long time since I've witnessed such sustained winds and rain all coming from the East.

from 2-2.30 we had epic rain and thunder & lighting in North Kildare. Dry at the moment but windy and gloomily
