Cold, Grey and miserable here in Dublin 7. But no snow so far

AAgh sure if we get a bit of spring frost in Ireland,,,,,its armageddon.
Considering the change in weather due to climate, I think I.m going to make an investment in an underpants manufacturing company.
If we get an hours snow, i reckon thousands of irish underpants wont survive.

Snow in Galway this morning and more proof that Galway people can't drive competently in any weather.

Wet, windy, cold evening here in NE Louth - but no snow! At sea level, so probably little or no white stuff due.

An inch of snow and the country in crisis.

Very much a case of "in like a lion ..." over here on the continent.

After a half-hearted attempt to return to zero/sub-zero temperatures this week, the weather gave up on the plan and switched to double-digit temperatures and triple-digit gusts of winds. I'm working away from home, right now, but expecting to find my garden trashed (again) when I get back. And I'll probably yet more of the roof down at ground level too.

Meanwhile, over in the not-that-sunny south-east, this recurrent wind is exaggerating two month's worth of drought (3mm of rain in the last seven weeks) and groundwater levels are now 87% below normal. Hosepipe bans come into force today.

Well that's the end of the cold spell. Temperatures to be in double digits tomorrow. Lets hope we get a dry period. The ground could do with a few dry weeks

Good news for our African replacement people mild and wet on the way.

This has been one of the worst months in a long time, it's basically rained every day for over 2 weeks at this stage.

If we got another few months of it I’d welcome it. Keep dust down.

There was a hose pipe ban on the way of the dry weather stayed. No grass growing either, we have mouths to feed since we are importing the lads from the Sahara.

Getting very fed up of the Atlantic muck at this stage. I've looked out the window to see rain almost every morning this month. The ground can't take much more rain.

Fairly relentless, the local golf course resembles a duck pond. Met Éireann are reduced to declaring 36 hours without rain a "dry spell". We're only missing the Ark at this rate, although by all accounts looking rather shook after a few centuries in storage.

If it's any use to ye, I have heard there's a bit of nice weather on the way...

Get some rain gear and get on with it, we will get three or four days of dry weather then and be complaining about the drought.

Feels like schizophrenialand in these parts. The solar panels are currently churning out at 75% of their rated capacity, but I've been following a micro-turbine thread on boards with interest, because my local maxi turbines are going full blast in winds ranging from 30 to 90km/h, forecast to drop to "only" 60km/h by Sunday. In the meantime, we've had hail, thunder and torrential rain this morning and afternoon, and the daily temperatures are swinging from +1°C to +20°C ...

The only upside of this wind is how quickly it's drying the surface, meaning I know I can mow the grass every three days regardless of what amount of rain has fallen in the two-and-a-half days between cuts. I'd still rather be up a ladder, though, doing all the jobs that require me to be up a ladder ...

Torrential rain in Dublin 7. Tomorrow not looking much better

Showery in Enniscorthy but nice enough all the same.

We've had the guys of 24 hours worth of rain in Dublin 7 and no sign if it letting up for a few hours yet. The back garden looks like a swap.

New weather presenter on RTE, well a few weeks now and it's either a case of the women ganging up on him or sticking it to the new bloke, because I haven't seen him give a decent forecast yet. Today was no exception, rain and gales for the whole week, lovely
