Not the severest of severe, but the parts of the South-East of France (Provence-Camargue) have not had a drop of rain for about six weeks now.

As noted in the report (in French) published last week - and there's been no new rain since - this is typically a once-every-ten-years event, so not really exceptional ... but that's a lot of dry if you're gardening!
