Have heard a lot of noise about this in the last week but the hysteria surrounding it is unreal. Just heard a woman on PK saying that Salthill seafront is the most beautiful in Europe - she needs to get out a bit. Douglas Promenade in the Isle of Man would beat it x 100, sure even poor old Redcar in Tyneside would put it to shame :mrgreen:

"Temporary plans" LMAO. Either these plans weren't temporary or they were part of a plan to get funding that didn't pan out.

Nothing in the article explains why the "Temporary" cycleway was needed. Looks to me like someone was trying to slip in a tourist attraction because of other areas that have greenways.

Don't see the beauty issue, either they need a cycleway or they don't.
