Rather than think about other places as there are other threads for that, let's use one thread to congratulate here.

I think it is brave of the person behind the site - aka Guburnor - to give it a lash. It's hard to do anything proactive in any area of life and takes courage and initiative and commitment. And it has been a slow site in the sense of not many posting, which naturally deters people contributing as most people online seem to want non stop stimulation, arguments, gossip, etc. So it's a big ask to get a chat board moving along in a time of people scrolling through endless sensations.

Going forward I think it is worth giving it a go but with a time point set for evaluation. If it doesn't work out in the end then so be it. That doesn't mean it didn't work. It did. For what it is, it is and it works.

An old friend of mine who is divorced says she hates people saying marriages fail when people divorce - she says her marriage was great and worked and they had kids and good times, and then it just didn't at the end. So she always says she had a successful marriage. Which is true!
All this to say GUBU is already a success, whether it works long term or not, simply because it is. And it is as it is.
