Troll of the day
Trolling is not just people who flame others which is what it has kind of become known as.
It is an art form when performed correctly and I came across this tweet from Lauren Boebert who tweeted, “two words: let’s go Brandon”.
Let’s go Brandon is a meme for feck Joe Biden, but more importantly that is three words. She got heckled on social media by the blue check marks. ‘Dumb b**** can’t count’ sort of thing. The thing is she was parodying Biden who said, “two words: made in America”.
Anyone have any good examples of positive trolling like this that actually serves a purpose? In this case to highlight hypocrisy.

mmm. The original Spitting Image program - late 1980's basically trolled all big personalities from Popes to Gorbachev to South African white political party of F W De Clerk. This most positive trolling even spawned an 8 bit computer game for the zX Spectrum & C 64. I still need to play that game.
Pat Rabbitte trolled Pat Carey on Prime TIme 12 years ago or so, but Rabbitte came out looking shite himself and I don't know how anybody has respect for Rabbitte after that.

It’s more like how do you show the emperor has no clothes? If you just point it out you’ll get attacked. A better way might be pretending you’re wearing the same garments.
Funny thread over on planks actually made me laugh hysterically. https://www.boards.ie/discussion/205826 ... wum-thread

It's just the whole thing annoys me as it wastes the energy that could be put into actually helping the people.

Oh gwan then, I'll join in. This sure to be temporary troll on Twitter is amusing me somewhat with their Chairs for Trans campaign.
Thinking out loud, and trying to be occasionally less wrong...

I see one of the greatest Trolls on Boards has just jumped all over that threadknownunknown wrote: ↑Sun Oct 16, 2022 5:19 am It’s more like how do you show the emperor has no clothes? If you just point it out you’ll get attacked. A better way might be pretending you’re wearing the same garments.

Titania Mc Grant has to be included, for anyone who doesn’t know it’s actually Andrew Doyle.

The thread starter is a masterful one himself, and not in any positive sense whatsoever. Loves to throw out wild accusations without backing them up, I think it’s an alt account of a mod tbh.Happy Days wrote: ↑Sun Oct 16, 2022 1:17 pm I see one of the greatest Trolls on Boards has just jumped all over that thread

Saw this over on planks I thought it was hysterical, not sure if the poster is trolling or just that stupid. What do you think?
Gas how the same people moaning about "free" services and housing for disadvantaged people suddenly care about "free" speach.
Re: Troll of the day
Bit of both I'd say.knownunknown wrote: ↑Thu Nov 03, 2022 3:04 am Saw this over on planks I thought it was hysterical, not sure if the poster is trolling or just that stupid. What do you think?
